Hogwarts Legacy (2023)

Cool to hear this HogLeg open world adventure game is doing well and selling tons of discs and digital versions for PS5, PS4, XBSX, etc. I'll give it a try soon, just waiting for a good sale price. Only disappointment is the disc version might not be playable without an update if that's true. Will test it out soon.

Looks like a fun game. I'm glad the world map is said to be large in scale. Cool.

Just got everything for the collections. But the trophy still says 159/603. So that is a glitched trophy. Only other one I need is use ancient magic on all enemies which I’m at 32/34 on. Feel like I’ve done everyone. Blah.

Also, finished the game. 64 hours and I did pretty much everything for the platinum, which will be fixed in patches I hope. Probably take an hour or two to curse every enemy. Also need to do the trophies for the four houses. Creating a character and getting to the map room. But I’m in no rush there. So it’ll wind up about 66/67 hours of time to finish. And I explored and just looked at stuff for hours. So can probably be finished quicker. Amazing game. Will definitely play again.

I have the same glitch. I knew this ahead of time. The PS+ guide tracked all the ones I was missing accurately. So I believe it’s the Bell Tower Courtyard one which is outside just past the dragon garden plant.

Am currently at 147/150 with 1 chest also I haven’t found yet in the Castle.

I haven’t made a new game yet for the 3 trophies you get for each house. I’ll probably do that soon because the Castle is Starting to annoy me.

Have you tried Felix Felicis for the chests. It makes them all appear on the mini map. Helped me with some. I got the ancient magic trophy so Al I have left is the houses and the collections. Funny enough the collections shows 150/150 cause I have all the ones that aren’t blank field pages. I really hope they patch the glitch. That’ll be incredibly annoying having everything done but not getting the credit for it. I don’t usually go after platinums, but this one I actually put forth the effort for it, so I want it. Haha.

Nice going. For the exploration, do you think you've covered the entire map, or are there still hidden locations to discover?

I got to everything except a bunch of the caves. There are only a few varieties and they don’t offer much so I skipped a bunch. Not the story caves, the little ones. Other than that I would say I saw most. Sure I may have missed a few things but I’ll save some surprises for another playtheough. I’m happy with my playthrough. Loved every second.

I wish there were consequences for wielding dark magic. I chose to learn Crucio plus been upping my Dark arts stats but no one fears me

There are only 3 unforgivable curses (i.e. evil).

Eventually you get a side quest that lets u pick locks.

Progressing til you get alohomora and then go exploring is the best advice I can give you. There are locks everywhere.

And the PS5 patch is live...

After a brief delay, Hogwarts Legacy update for PS5 has rolled out, bringing the game version to 1.000.004. This update fixes a number of platform-specific issues, including crashes and Collector’s Edition trophy. The fix for the trophy will apply retroactively so players don’t need to redo anything.

Having some experience programming games and then going back to test for issues, that's actually a small list. It's amazing how many things to spot and then need to solve, but it's a fun challenge too. When there is time. When pressed for time, they probably did the best they could.

Even so, the game should be fully complete-able from the disc without a single update. I'll test it out soon, as I've been able to complete a lot of games that way.

How does the collections trophy trigger. I downloaded the update and it hasn’t given it to me. And I’m 100%. It’s actually showing 602/603. I have everything. Only thing I’m missing is the 1 field guide page that I definitely got, but on the collections page it says 150/150.

Edit: well according to others, I’m not the only one this has happened to. Hopefully this gets fixed.

Crazy how the patch details mentions a bunch of crash fixes when I have over 20-something-hours before the patch, and not once did I encountered a single crash.

I can say this has been a really smooth and well polished game pre-patched. The devs really did a great job with it.

I’m at 600/603. I got the last chest in Castle. 1 page I got near the Castle turned 148/150 into 150/150.

So,

I’m now missing 1 trait. (74/75) + I & am missing 2 conjugation collectables.
All Bandit camps are cleared.
If I zoom all the way out on the main map, everything shows 100% complete in every region.

I flew around the map looking for bandit camps & butterflies. 0 luck so far. All camps have a check mark. I know I looted all chests from the 4 vivariums. Each one has 3 conjugation chests.

So I don’t know what to do now.

Traits 74/75

I looked to see if others had this issue. Apparently so even right down to the specific trait I’m missing which is Laceration II. While others are missing a different named one. All loot is RNG so am not surprised this is a bug.

If I zoom all the way out of map - Collection Chests 117/117. Also every bandit camp has a check mark.

So am gonna take a good break from this game. Why they made the trait system RNG is ridiculous.

It sucks, but it’s good that the 602/603 glitch is happening to multiple people. Then they will likely fix it. It’s when you get the random glitch no one else is experiencing that you should be worried.

Do you have 75/75 traits?

The Castle btw in my game map shows 149/150 for field pages but shows 150/150 in the collections tab.

Am not gonna bother with this Trophy until they address it. Spent 50 hours of the 101 I have spent just on collecting crap.

I only got a handful of game crashes. Never in-game. Only when in the map section & selecting a fast travel spot.

I can think of another thing they should fix. When you press L1, then O to get on your broom, your character will instead do a magic dodge.
