Default Problems with Dan in real life

Hi, New to the forum.
I've been a Huge supporter of blu-ray from the getgo and use my Ps3 as do many to watch movies. However the only problem i've had with any title is Dan in real life. It plays to about halfway through it and then just stops and I get a black screen. I thought that the disk was bad (but no scratches etc) so I went to best buy and exchanged it with another. Same problem... different area. Am i the only one having problems with this title?

Thanks
ps. on the ps3... I have the latest operating system version.

I do not have a PS3 but a stand alone Sony 300 and I watched the entire movie without any issues. You may want to try unplugging the PS3 powercord from the outlet and them plug back in and repower the PS3.

This is definitely strange . . . I'm using the PS3 as well and had no problems.

I did notice this as well with mine. I have a 40gb and I remember the part where they go to the bowling alley it like stopped and went to the menu. I've only watched once so far so I don't know if it'll happen again.

Edit: It happened after I tried to rewind.

Default Maybe its a software issue.

I think I may just have to save my data and reformat the drive to start fresh. I'm sure there are just as many hd issues with the ps3 as there is with a pc and performing a fresh install may help.

I'll keep you posted and thanks for all the replies

Tom

the only thing i can think of is a problem with the PS3 decoding it for some reason.

Same thing happend to me. I have 50 BDs and this is the only movie that it has happened to. It happens in the same place everytime as well, after the shower seen... I just thought it was the disc since this is the only time it has happend, BDs or DVDs. I havent taken mine back yet though. I really doubt its my PS3 if 49 blus work and one doesnt.

Have the 60 gig PS3, played the movie flawlessly, even after pausing and rewinding. but haven't played it since the new firmware update, maybe that made a difference.

I had a small problem but its fine for now. It was the scene where Dan's brother introduces him to his girlfriend. I think it was 24mins in. All of a sudden I see a line go through the scene.(left to right) I caught it and decided to rewind it. I replayed that part then I saw nothing. Then a couple of seconds later after it past the part where I saw the line it blacked out. No picture, no sound. I stopped the movie then played it again a minute before all that crap started and it played fine. As if nothing had ever happened.
