should they be pointed towards the front speakers or youre head?

they should be pointed towards where you will be seated... for example if they are beside the couch they should point at it, with the direction being focused on where you will be sitting, if they are more behind you then angle them towards the front a bit, but still mostly at you

when i say behind I don't really mean directly behind... I mean at a diagonal to your rear... like at your 4 oclock or 5 oclock... ideally your 4 oclock i think is best because the sound is still somewhat behind you while being beside you... thus, surrounding you
