Now I have to wait for my friend to get off work so he can help me get the beast inside the house.

I have a furniture mover and will use that to move it around the house. However, does anyone have any tips for getting the sub out of the box?

Default I'm a proud owner of a SVS 20-39 PC+ subwoofer:D

There are more pics in my theater gallery!

It is easily the best sub I have ever owned and one of the best I have ever heard. Now, I have not heard or auditioned everything but I would put this sub up there with almost anything.

While the thing looks massive(well, it kinda is...) it becomes unobtrusive after the first few days and with corner placement, it really doesn't draw much attention at all.

I run the sub with all three ports open as it gives the most even overall response. It is plenty low for me, it is past the range I can hear. However, the shake it provides is flat awesome! While I like the idea of going lower, I'd rather have the more even response and there just isn't a ton of material at 16Hz anyhow. I do use the sub primarily for home theater but it pulls music duty too. While deep notes are it's strong point, it remains tonal and open for music as well. The 525 watt BASH amp provides plenty of headroom and makes distortion almost non-existent. The impact and low-end rumble this thing provides impresses me on a daily basis. In fact, the only reason I can think of to get an Ultra(or another 20-39PC+) would be a much larger room.

I don't want to make ridiculous claims about the rest of my life, but I can easily see myself being an SVS owner for many years to come. While the sub was one of the more expensive parts of my system, it was worth every penny. Great value from these guys and top notch service. I spoke with two reps on several different occasions before buying and they could not have been more helpful. I know that some owners got a free shirt with their order but all I got was a pen That has really been my only complaint with the whole process

Default SVS Pb10-nsd

Like everyone else here that owns one of these subwoofers, it is enormous!

Good news though is that not only does it produce ultra-low tones, but also provides as a great side table!

I know that I only have the 10inch model and not a 12 inch, but for the size of my room, I don't think that I would need it. Heck, I haven't had to turn up the volume on it past 25% yet. Though I did experiment with it when I first got it as some of my shows didn't sound as bass heavy as they used too with my previous subwoofer. Then I realized after watching the movie Cloverfield on Blu-ray, that my previous subwoofers were subpar and was producing bass when there really wasn't. Its really hard to explain and I think that only those that have experienced low and high quality subwoofers can really comprehend the difference and why its a good idea to keep it at 1 set volume and let the movie dictate if it should have bass or not.

My advice to anyone that is looking to upgrade their home theatre with a new subwoofer or upgrade their current one, SVS is the brand for you. Eventhough I have only used this particular subwoofer, just based on how good this one is (pretty much cheapest option of their subwoofer), I can promise that any other subwoofer from them will sound just as good or better.

I haven't taken home theatre pictures yet because that means cleaning up living room to be 'picture perfect'.

There are a few pics of my SVS PB13 Ultra in my home theatre pics. This sub is expensive at 1600.00 but worth every dollar IMHO. I do not recall that I have ever regreted buying something that was high quality. This sub is just great. Ask anyone who owns one, I would be shocked if you heard anything other than great reviews. If you want volume, that is clean with no distortion, all the way down to 15 HZ, this is the sub you want. The auto on and off is also a real plus.

Default SVS PB-13 Ultra

Got the sub in place, ran Audyssey, this sub ROCKS!!!

I placed the sub where my previous sub was located. This will not be its final resting place. I have to order a longer sub cable to place it in its permanent location.

However, I listened to some Eagles (Peaceful Easy Feeling, Hotel California) and Pink Floyd (Money). Music sounds awesome, lots of clean low end. I quickly watched the beginning of IronMan. You could literally feel the explosions. Perfect! Just was I was "looking" for in a sub.

This one is a keeper for sure! I still have some fine tuning and playing to do before the levels are where I want them, but it is good for now.

I updated the pics: http://picasaweb.google.com/dfennell...SPB13UltraSub#

I have a large room and decided to order two PB13-Ultras since you get 5% off the total price, no sales tax, and free shipping promo. I cannot wait until they arrive next week.

I didn't see a free shipping promo on their site. Is the free shipping promo only on the PB13-Ultra?

Edit: Free shipping for PB13-Ultra and SB12-Plus. $99 flat rate for PB12-Plus. No free shipping or reduce for their PC (cylinder) line.

The PB13 and a couple of others. Where they are not giving free shipping, they seem to be discounting the price for this promo.

FINALLY!! I just got this sub today after almost a week delay from UPS! It is very solid and pretty heavy for a 10'. Looks bigger than in pictures.

So I let it warm up to room temp and have now had it hooked up for about an hour and I just can't seem to find the right spot for it. I probably have to break it in a bit more. I tried YPAO settings on the YAMAHA but I didn't like that.

I still have my BIC H-100 sub and switched them out one after another then with both hooked up and that sounds best but most bass coming from the BIC. Any suggestions on setting this up or should I just give it some time.

I'll play with it more later on and hopefully notice a change. It could just be the room?

Thanks for starting this thread on Blu-ray.com!!! I'm running dual PB13-Ultra's in my man cave. A well $3k spent w/ free shipping. I purchased them Nov/08 and replaced a single SVS PB12-ISD/2 with the NSD drivers. I thought the PB12 rocked but now with the PB13-Ultras, It's like "shock and awe"!!! They literally shake my pant legs and can feel the pressurized room in my hair and chest when watching movies ladened with bass. And that's even in a 3000 cu.ft. space. The scene where Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie shoot it out in their house in Mr. & Mrs. Smith, when Angelina switches the silenced MP5 to full auto, there's some serious low bass when that thing fires. The big house shaker scene is when the pods emerging from under the street in W.O.T.W's. I thought the subs would bottom out and I actually started to freak out a little but they didn't even break a sweat. My 4 year old ran out of the room with his fingers in his ears!!!! Anyway...I want to end by saying I'll never own anything but SVS. Their customer service is also impeccable!!!
