Have you done the sub crawl to see where the best possible placement is?

This will help you out a lot if you're unfamiliar with everything. https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...82&postcount=1

I've done it before in previous residences. I'm staying in military housing now, and the layout leaves a bit to be desired. As it stands now, I have a small amount of wiggle room for placement.

I did move it out from the wall though. I have about 6 inches of clearance behind and on the side of it. I am really happy with it though. It is a huge step up from my previous subwoofer.

Wow congrats. You got the big sucker.

I original was eyeing up two of those however I couldn't fit them in. Ended up getting two SB ultra's instead.

I think mine are just breaking in. Listening tonight I noticed they have sonically changed. They seem to push air a lot more freely now. That's my feeling anyway. Might be a tiny bit of placebo.

Hey Badas, Thanks! I had originally planned to go the SB13 route myself, but at the last minute I went this route and upgrade my receiver. I'm happy with my decision though. Perhaps one day when I get settled in a permanent place I will get another one to compliment it.

Thanks again for the kind words. By the way, your home theater is very nice! Take care.

Yes

A member on here saw my post and pm'ed saying I can buy them, get SVS to post to the members address and that they would forward them on to me.

So I bought 2 sets of the 4 feet direct from SVS

Damn. That is a funny Add. I thought you were saying your subs were walking until it exploded into a SVS. The SVS really seems to have attitudes. Mine has really come alive. Scary sometimes.

I replaced my Energy 10.3 sub with an SVS SB-2000 about a week ago, and I'm loving it so far. Even more than the increased output, which my previous sub was already quite good at, I'm most impressed by the tight and accurate bass that it produces, significantly improving the overall sound of my HT; my old sub sounds 'boomy' in comparison.

From an aesthetics standpoint, I quite like the metal grille, as well as the rounded corners - it gives this already compact sub an even smaller appearance.

New owner here! Dual SB-2000 in piano gloss finish being delivered today, installed tonight to complement my Mirage OMD-28 fronts. Still waiting for that elusive OMD-C2 for the center. Now for the hard part, waiting until they are broken in before turning them UP!

These will be installed in my family room where I listen to music and watch TV, movies too, not my theater which is in my sig, so I opted for sealed subs for the music. Room is less than 3000 cu ft (2500 cu ft) so according to reviews I have read, I opted for dual SB-2000s instead of something bigger like the SB-13 Ultra which would probably be too much for that room.

How long is the break in for SVS and the SB-2000? Just wondering what others have followed. Thanks.

I know ppl like to break in subs but When I got mine I was given the go ahead to crank em up (with in reason). Not sure what my reference level was but I was watching Tron Legacy at -15 with my 1 hr old dual pb-1000's
