We need him another 84 years at minimum.

Ridley Scott is 84 November 30, 2021, born in 1937, and still making movies because he enjoys it and it probably helped him get to 84. I've seen some of his films in theaters and own a number of them on disc.

I'm a fan of his Alien themed films the most.
Alien, Prometheus, Covenant. Theaters and Blu Ray, DVD and Blu ray 3D.
Alien is a classic horror film. Great stuff.
I actually like Prometheus as an exploration/parasitic infection film.
Covenant, I'll rewatch it a second time this week, first time was in theaters. It was interesting.

The Martian was interesting. Theaters and Blu Ray 3D
Gladiator was entertaining. Theaters and Blu Ray
Legend is interesting. DVD
Blade Runner is interesting. VHS

Black Hawk Down, I felt the camera work was too sloppy during action, hard to follow what was going on. Theater

American Gangster was interesting. DVD

Hannibal was a bit slow but interesting. I fell asleep in the theater at one point. Theater viewing.

Kingdom of Heaven, I fell asleep to that one too. DVD

Exodus, Gods and Kings, that was interesting. Blu ray 3D

Black Rain was interesting. TV

GI Jane was mildly interesting. TV

I never saw his first film, The Duellists made in 1977.

Ridley Scott planned for "a very good take on #Dune" in between 'Alien' and 'Blade Runner' but he backed out because he refused to shoot in Mexico: "With the greatest respect to Mexico City, in those days [it was] pretty pongy. I didn’t love it."

What Ridley Scott Has Learned: “We Don’t Know S***”

I cannot not love this old geezer.

Quote:
“The worst thing about it is when you’re my age they think, ‘Oh, the old guy’s fallen down,'” Scott says. “I say, ‘Get off. I’m fine. Get off. You go on, I’ll see you later.’ So I went up to the hospital, bleeding hand, and got stitches and things. I heal like a shark. So I’m healed. Now, my mother would say, ‘You’ll be fine.’ And that’s why I’m fine, and I’m fine.”

I can bet Ridley Scott will probably choose to be directing movies till his final breath on earth, doing what he loves.
