Crud. Looks like the Netflix scum acquired White Snake's sequel White Snake 2: The Tribulation of the Green Snake. This is terrible, I was actually looking forward to this one. New Gods: Nezha Reborn, a previous film by the same studio (Light Chaser Studio), was also acquired by Netflix about a year ago and has yet to see any kind of physical home video release. Major L

It always sucks when pieces of the same franchise get split between different distributors, especially taking into account that everything Netflix does regarding animated films, GKIDS does better, full stop.

It always sucks when pieces of the same franchise get split between different distributors, especially taking into account that everything Netflix does regarding animated films, GKIDS does better, full stop.

It's still possible GKID's maintains physical distribution rights to it. They do have an established relationship.

It is annoying too that the first film isn't on Netflix. Would like to see it before this one (will probably rent it). And of course, Netflix gives no indication it's a sequel or anything.

Check it out, there's nothing to regret if you do. I personally found it to be spectacular, with beautiful character designs and tremendous action sequences. Got to kind of admit that characterization is more in line with that of a generic mindless summer popcorn blockbuster flick than something to take really seriously, but there are plenty of inspiring sequences throughout as well, also with a great score.

But whatever you do, please do not watch Saberspark's video on it until you watched the whole film yourself and formed your own opinion about it, please & thanks...

Cinedigm BD appears to be low-pass filtered.

The Shout Factory re-release uses multi-angles for English/French version titles. I do not know how the titles were handled on the Cinedigm version.

I'd only seen Ernest & Celestine for the first time very recently, but I was instantly charmed by it. Modest Heroes, meanwhile, I've been wanting to get for a while and was just waiting for the right chance.
Of course, the Folklore Trilogy is the main prize here. I haven't had the chance to examine the set thoroughly, but just with a cursory look-over this feels like a proper premium package. I'll see if I can provide more photos later.

The case cover has a lovely laminated finish for protection. All the contents fit snugly inside, including the back information sheet which comes off completely after the set is unwrapped.

One thing I dislike about the disc casing is the foam hubs, which are just slightly too big to fit the discs right; two of the discs were actually loose and fell out of the pack when I opened it (guess that fills my heart attack quota for the day ), so I had to carefully force them back over the hubs

The booklet is also really nice; I think most or all of the content is recycled from the larger art books, but it's all quality info and imagery for anyone who doesn't have those other books.
The bonus Kells comic is, regrettably, not included in the set.

All together it looks like a great set with only a few small shortcomings. I'm excited to plug in Wolfwalkers to my player and see it in full Blu-ray quality!

How big is the overall package compared to a standard Blu-ray case?

It's a bit taller and fairly longer, as you can see compared to my other recent acquisitions in the prior post; and it's at least twice as thick. It's basically the same size as one of the Ghibli Collectors' Editions.
