Jason is the official distributor and handles the replication. We just create and encode the content and work with David (Authoring) to create the disc itself. After that, it is all in Jason's hands. He is wonderful to work with. Do you have his contact information?

Depending on the version (single, dual or triple layer) they are replicated in various parts of the world. And of course, if you want it packaged, it may be done elsewhere. For both HDR discs, they are replicated and packaged by Sony. The 1st and 2nd were replicated by a company in California, I believe.

The BDA can also be particular when it comes to the company that replicates.

The short answer is no. My comments below are for an app running on something like an Apple or Android device such as a phone or tablet.

We did some tests with Avical last year playing our patterns inside of the Patterns app that was recently released for iOS. It can play our HDR10 encoded patterns just fine, but it can't play our Dolby Vision patterns. Apple only supports Profile 5 and 8.3 while we only support Profile 7 and 8.1.

We would have to use the graphics APIs, but they are expected to be done in 8-bit full range RGB and then they are converted to limited range RGB for display. Even if you streamed it to an Apple TV, for example, the color conversion and down sample is out of our hands. In the end, we don't control the accuracy of the patterns when displayed.
