Australia Pricing australian titles

I was wondering if, for the Australian titles we could add pricing info from JB HIFI and a link to the site similar to US releases and Amazon. Also third part could EZYDVD. i think this would do for now until amazon.com.au comes around in 2013.

We're always working on this. If possible the systems are added. Broadest base possible and all that

Is it a fact, or just wishful thinking?

Can't see it happening, myself. With the wholesale prices Australian distributors charge for books, CDs, DVDs/Blus, an Amazon OZ would find itself struggling to match what Amazon US and Amazon UK could offer, even with international freight charges.

I read in a statement a few months ago that Amazon was pushing to expand it's Asia/Oceania influence after finally establishing themselves in Italy. They are expected to to open up in Korea by 2012 and will push for Australia at the same time or later though it is on the list to do so. They are aware of prices and distribution here and will plan to price based on US prices plus and inflation/deflation as well as matching local prices.
We could also see a similar prime service and 2 day shipping, so who know...by next year we could very much see a http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/browse.html/?node=468294
