If BD+ is cracked quickly, then perhaps never.

Default I say this year

I think it will be this year that FOX begins to release their movies again. There is an article on ign where they are talking to a head guy from Sony about blu-ray and spider-man three and within a quote he talks about some heavy hitting franchises to release and he mentions die hard!!! so if within this quote he meant this year then thats great, but it may not be till early next year...who knows, but what we do know is that FOX will begin to support Blu again very soon

Well Fox is releasing a lot of their sweet movies outside the USA. So why would cracking BD+ be an issue. Come on with the movies already Fox... Why does the USA have to suffer???

There was a clip from an interview with someone from Fox (I don't remember where), I think from the HME show, that Fox would be back soon "in a big way."

I thought the deal with BD+ was that even if it was cracked on one release, it changes on the next, meaning you would have to crack every title released individualy. Is his right or wrong?

I think it's unreasonable to think that Fox will abandon Blu-ray or any next-gen format because of piracy issues. Piracy is inevitable. It will probably never be stopped, only slowed until the next security measure comes out and is cracked again. Has Fox ever even said officially that BD+ was the reason for their delays?

Given that new AACS keys can't be used until September (to try to counter the last breach), I'm guessing soon means September at the earliest. I think they will want both BD+ and the new keys.

Thanks! I know that's what was always reported, but I didn't remember Fox actually coming out and saying that that was the real reason. It'll be nice, all of my Fox discs are top notch, I'm looking forward to many more.

September would make sense . . . Jeepers Creepers 2 (yeah, I know, nothing to really get excited over) is slated for 9/11.

Cracked in what way?

Can you rip it to a computer or only copy it to a Blu-ray disc if you have a Blu-ray burner?
