Default It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.

An early 60's star-a-thon that was fun too.

A classic! Don't know how well the comedy would stand up today, but yes...a fun film!

Also, the remake "Rat Race" is quite funny, especially Rowan Atkinson of Mr. Bean fame.

It would be fantastic to see this film on Blu-ray. Especially considering the DVD release wasn't the best they could do. The VHS and some TV aired versions seem to have more extras. Growing up I've seen this movie countless times because my Dad was such a big fan of it. I've seen it on VHS, DVD, and even in the theater twice. I'm only 23 and I absolutely love it.

I was surprised that a 2 Disc or even a 3 Disc DVD was never made of this film, only a now are single DVD flipper with some extras. Considering all the alternate versions, takes, and cuts of the film you'd think that this would be one of the best movies to bring to the format. I'm sure you can fill a whole other disc or two with extras!!

Let's hope they come out with a Blu-ray version that isn't a bare-bones edition. I hope they do it right and include all the extras they can find, because that's really the best part about DVDs and Blu-rays. Plus if they had the film at it's original length and aspect ratio (or as close as they could get it) of course that would be awesome. Here's hoping!

Considering this was shot for Cinerama, ie. 70mm film a Blu-ray transfer could be fantastic

well yeah...

seriousily though, aside from the transfers of 'Patton' 'Hamlet' and 'Playtime' most of the other 70mm films that have been transfered to hidef/bluray look utterly fantastic - I can not WAIT to see the 4K transfer Fox has done with the 70mm elements for 'The Sound of Music' bluray!!!!!!

from the screen shots I've seen of Mad Mad World from the MGM-HD airing, they are damn impressive.

Yeah, I love Rat Race... I would buy that in a heart beat on blu.

It's A Mad^4 World I'd have to think about and it would depend on how cheap I could find it. Watched it once and it didn't capture me as immediately as Rat Race did.

IMO this film is the "Longest Running Time" for a Comedy I have ever seen! most Comedy's run about 90mins. But Mad runs 2hrs and about 40mins long.

I would hope the Blu_Ray has the Extra's that were made for the "Flipper" DVD.

I would like to see this one with a low price of under 12.99 when its out.

I tought Rat Race was a remake of those 80's films about some races with Dom DeLouise and Jackie Chan.

Yes, I want the Angry Nerd's all time fave movie on Blu.

Count me in too. I love this move!!

Love the scene when they're all deciding how to split up the money:

Sid Ceaser is brilliant:

"Let's see that's two shares for you...three shares for us...etc..."

Amazing cast too!!

Yea, if there are two, what I would call, "somewhat forgotten" classics that are sure to look great on Blu-ray.....they would be It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World and The Great Race. These need to come out.

Let's make that an uneven three:

It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World
The Great Race
Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines
