lol, best sports commissioner, high bar set there. I don't even dislike Silver but what he said was just unnecessary and dumb.
As far as Bron missing time, West being crowded and open there is still a chance they could make it but D-Lo needs to come back soon and AD needs to play like a beast oh yeah and not get hurt again. Oh well if they don't get in it looks like I can do something I haven't done in 16 years - watch the Kings in the playoffs! KD supposed to make his Suns debut tonight EDIT - like clockwork AD out tonight (foot) vs. OKC - lol, bye bye playoffs. Just further reasserting my opinion that they should just move on from him at this point. Even if he's out one game (which is important in trying to get to the playoffs) you just can't count on him to stay healthy. smdh Last edited by El Rey; 03-01-2023 at 08:29 PM. |

I believe it's just load management and not a new injury. From what I heard, it was stated on TNT last night that AD and Lebron are not playing any more back-to-backs this year. In that case IMO they should have saved AD for tonight's game because it's more winnable.

yes playing tonight would've made sense from a more winnable game position but sitting your best players this late in the season when you're trying to make the playoffs doesn't come off as a sincere effort. But I suppose there's still a punchers chance with the West being so crowded.

Agree, there are many variables and unknowns at this point, with the key injuries and new players, that anything can happen really. I was happy with their defense in the first half last night, but no way you can win with 26 turnovers, geez. A lot of chemistry still to work out.

Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant has been accused of punching and flashing a gun at a 17-year-old and threatening a mall security guard.
In police records obtained by Molly Hensley-Clancy of the Washington Post, Morant was accused of punching the teen "12-13 times" during a pickup basketball game at the 23-year-old's house last summer. According to interviews conducted by Shelby County Sheriff's Office detectives obtained by Hensley-Clancy, the teenager said Morant went into his house after hitting him and "re-emerged with a gun visible in the waistband of his pants and his hand on the weapon." A few days before the alleged assault, the head of security at a Memphis mall told police he was "threatened" by Morant in the parking lot and a member of Morant's group shoved him in the head. |

Even before this news about Ja came out, lot of NBA Twitter have been saying he is the real world equivalent of Papa Doc (Anthony Mackie's character in 8 Mile). Suburb, private school kid, surrounding himself with actual street dudes in order to come off as if he's from the streets himself.
I know these guys are basically paid to take a "side" or issue on these shows, not sure about it in Perk's case though, who was saying Jokic is a stat padder and that's why he is getting all of these triple doubles. Him and Reddick were having a back and forth about this all week. So dumb. As far as Joker, can anyone make a case why he isn't the MVP again this year? |

you could make a case for Giannis and Embiid like last year. Giannis and Jokers teams both lead their conferences. philly 5 games back from bucks. tough to go with Embiid with games missed and not leading his division. |

anyone watch that clippers gs game? my lord that was bad.
PG 3/15 --- WB 3/12 and im sure you all saw WB being left WIDE open as the gs gameplan, which obviously worked. but why is WB giving in to it. shoot it sometimes, sure, if the shot isnt falling, why doesnt he attack the rim? closest defender is damn near the FT line and WB is at the 3 point line. get a full head of steam and go straight at the defender. Clips have such a good team on paper. time to blow it up |

I get that folks want to blame Russ for Clips woes but in addition to him and PG shooting awful last night, Gordon was 3-12 too.
Beyond that, Clips haven't been healthy or consistent and hovering around .500 all year. Had they been full strength from the start, this would've been the year to take the division with no one expecting the Warriors to struggle, Suns be mediocre, not very healthy, then acquire KD. They've never been able to have PG and Kawhi healthy at the same time and even when they did, wasn't really a scary duo. PG was best as big fish in small pond in Indy and OKC, super sporadic since being in LA. Kawhi, was a great two way player years ago and when healthy. Yes I know he has two rings but that first one was a part of the great San Antonio teams. His Toronto team was good but that ring was due to Warriors being severely hampered. All that said, if I were Ballmer I would blow it up. I see Lakers fans still talking about Russ, the two teams records since the trade. Sure, great, fine. But right now one of those teams is still positioned to make the playoffs. Sure it could change but doesn't look great with Bron missing at least three weeks and who knows how much AD will play during this stretch. |

I know you weren't blaming him. Yeah he had a bad night shooting but for those who don't like him, they focus on that and overlook terrible shooting from PG and Gordon. Clips being mediocre all year.
He actually has looked good and refreshed since joining the Clips and I agree with you, they could turn it on come playoff time if they can gel and stay healthy. |

still another half to go but tonight Russ is showing out so far 15 pts, 7/8 fg, 7 assists
No Kawhi for LAC of course. Want Russ to play well but of course rooting for Kings. Key matchup in the West tonight with MEM and DEN slugging it out right now too. yo lacit, how bout your Knicks? Crazy finish in MIA but eight in a row for them! |

Yeah WB played well and hit shots. Did the Kings use the GS strategy on him? Clips keep losing close games, just like the Lakers did during a stretch. Wish Russ well but can't say the same about the team he is on.
Looks like the Lakers are doomed to stay 1 game out of the play-in. |
