I just got 20 too.

Just e-mail the rep. I asked them, since the item is no longer in production, if they can sender me the new version instead..

They said no, of course but gave me 20 promo credit instead.

Not sure but i got it applied to the bates motel price mistake, so thats coming for around $5 shipped

Emboldened by your post, I wrote to them and let them know that I would rather they give a discount to make up the price difference, rather than 10GBP that had been offered. They responded that they cancelled my promo and have given a gift card amount of £20.28 that should process in one business day. I will use this towards the second copy I wanted to give as a gift. (The first copy I bought for myself in 2015 at full price.)

Wow, not sure how anyone is getting anything on here. I contacted them with the same issue and was told several times that they do not do pre-order or post-order price adjustments. Which I explained several times is not what I was asking.
Even when I told them I was guaranteed to receive my item (by at least 2 separate employees on 2 separate occasions) she did not care. Not possible.

How I did it?
I explained everything in great detail, very politely, with specific dates, times, order numbers, etc., and explained it so that it would all be clear to a foreign person from India (I am assuming based on name and their sometimes off grammar?) who had zero idea what I was talking about going in.

The first lady I talked to via chat offered 5GBP, then upped it to 10GBP, saying that was the best she coudl do. This was about 30-45 minutes into it. After reading about other success here, I decided to respond to the email confirmation she sent offering the 10GBP, and I just basically explained everything again in great detail, very politely, said I was disappointed at having waited so long so patiently, etc. No madness, no threats. The final time (email) I did say I felt I should have a credit for 20GBP if they were not going to honor that price for the new set that their email encouraged me to buy at much greater cost. With the woman in the chat, I did not ask for a price adjustment, only to be able to buy the new Star Trek set at the same price as the original.

When I got the refund, it was done as a refund to a different item I bought from them, which is odd, but oh well. I figured maybe there are limitations to how much they can give as a promo, and they can't refund a Star Trek I did not buy (only tried to buy).

It took me less than two minutes to compose that email. You may find that you may struggle and need longer. To each their own. As far as chatting with her, I was doing various other things at the same time. Again, if you find that you may need to concentrate fully on such an exchange, giving her your full attention, that could be an issue to consider.
