Just like Mendes did in the opening sequence of SPECTRE. But that‘s ok, it‘s about the illusion! Isn‘t it? Even Hitchcock cheated back in his days when he put ROPE together.

Yeah I cant see this being a genuine single shot unless it has very little in the way of scope. But even if they utilise previous techniques to get the effect I hope it is not true. I really hoped we would get a larger scope WW1 epic, of which there are precious few.

Glasgow’s Hollywood takeover – coming this spring

According to planning documents, the Govan Graving Docks is set to be transformed into wartime France. Works will include the building of a bridge over a canal.

Spielberg and Mendes will use the docks for ten weeks, beginning on 22 April. The period includes the constructing, filming and dismantling of the set but if you want a chance to spot any big players, filming is set to take place between 11 – 14 June.

Apparently, Disney will no longer do the slow rollout, releasing it wide on December 25th instead. Either that or ExhibitorRelations is confused.

The film's gimmick is that it will look like it's all been filmed in one-take.

Sam's desperate for that second Oscar.

It was reported a long time ago it may be edited to look like a single take. Sad if true.

Mendes must have really enjoyed doing that opening sequence for Spectre.

Even before this, I had been thinking how cool a “single take” war film will be as I find extended shots of action very cool. So I hope this is true (and don’t mind if it’s digitally stitched together, it gets the same effect while making production more practical).
