Nope, I want some of those too. Braveheart, X-Men 1&2, and LOTR would be nice. I didn't say that I was opposed to movies made here being released overseas, just that I wanted them released here too. I have no problems with foreign films being released here either. I am looking forward to getting Oldboy someday.

So then you DO agree with what the OP was saying and you don't understand what the deal was with this crap? Even after my exhaustive explanation? Ok....

Thanks man! I do know it's out here, and I will buy it someday. It's not at the top of my list tho, I can only afford a couple a week, and am WAY behind. Maybe it's a good thing they don't release all the movies here, otherwise I'd be even further behind on my wishlist.

Wait a minute. are you telling me there are other countries on this planet other than the U.S of A? I'm at a loss for words. Speaking of USA I recently read a story in Thailand where a man meets this Thai University student at a bar in Bangkok. She's chatting him up (as they do) and asks him where he comes from. He replies "I come from the United States Of America" To which she replies "WOW!! I have always wanted to live in America" Whilst pointing at a poster of the MOON. That is a true story, I sh*t you not.

You stated that in this post:

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...2&postcount=28

That you were agreeing with the original posters frustrations. The OP stated this specifically:

Im sick and tired of having my favorite movies being released somewhere else than the U.S....what is the deal with this crap!

I explained what the deal was to him and to you. Somehow you are all ****ed up in the head and are having problems with the reasoning behind this. End of story.
All ****ed up in the head? No, come on now. Thanks for you explanation. I knew in general term's about studio's rights, but some specifics were learned from your explanation. So, thanks.

The post was based on emotion and I really did not expect to get an answer to my question. I think that ed picked up on that. I just expected other people to post their frustrations as to why don't have a release date for this movie yet. (I know that their seven has nothing to do with the u.s. release of seven, but I got jealous)I should have been more specific to avoid this kind of confusion. On the upside I just pre- ordered bourne!

the studio that owns the rights to oldboy in the US and UK has shut down so if you want a copy i would get one sooner rather then later

I think everyone should stop pissing and moaning in this thread, who cares if a film gets released else where before U.S, 75% of the time a film will be released 1st in the U.S so you should be thankful that you get stuff when you do and not go ape shit when you dont. U.S also has the biggest Blu Ray range in the world so think about other countries and give them some good releases for a change. Its not like they will never come out anyway, give it a few months
