It's not large if you have a browser (like Chrome) that can auto-resize the images.

Now say thank you to the nice man for taking the time to post the images.

Can't wait to see what this will look like with proper BD encoding. The HDTV screencaps already look a thousand times better than the DVD transfers.

I vote that you keep posting the images as you have been please. Josh B should just have to deal with it. Haven't heard anyone else complain.

Maybe just post the first pic, and spoiler the rest?
Either way I know I enjoy looking at them. Thank you for taking the time to post them!

Comparing the 16:9 S03E05 screens with the 4:3 episode, seems to be no cropping at all in those scenes.

For S03E03, they re-done the VFX! Look at the cattle compared to the VFX, they're in the same position:

And another 4:3 to 16:9 VFX comparison:

I pre-ordered "The X-Files: The Complete Series (Blu-ray)" on Amazon.com last night only to wake up and realize I was dreaming. No lie. I think I need serious help. Even my subconscious wants to believe.

Excellent Work!!

And I have to say, I had never stopped to notice just how bad that effect looks in the original!!

Awesome news! And great work, thank you. Would love to see more FX comparisons, or just general framing comparisons.

You're right! Looks like they opened up the sides there without any vertical compromise. What allowed them to do this in DPO and not other episodes?
