Do you keep the cardboard packaging backing from your steelbooks and box sets?

Hi all,

Just a query I was thinking. I cannot bring myself to ditch the backing card from steelbooks or some box sets like Lord Of the Rings EE or Game Of Thrones. Information wise, there's nothing there I truly need, it's just the completist in me.

How do the rest of you approach it? Just curious, I'm not looking for a fiery 'slip cover or not' debate.

Hahaha!!! I was just laughing at myself the other day about this! Yes... I keep the cardboard packaging from my steelbooks and boxsets! I can't bring myself to throw them away either! I usually neatly fold them and place them inside the box. Nice to know I'm not the only one!

I keep them all, but not with the Blu-rays. I place them in a drawer. I can't fold them to put them in the Blu-rays, they have to stay as is.

I put them in a folder in a drawer, just in case I ever sell any of my collection, it would be nice to include them in the sale.

Yeah, I save them. I don't know why, though.

I save them as well, completist in me has to. Good for resale value, but I can't ever see myself selling much of my collection! haha

My brother and his wife chuck everything but the discs from every movie they buy! They keep all their movies in a binder! The horror!

I poly bag mine with J-cards and all. That way, all of mine look like they are still shrink wrapped minus all those extra stickers.

Oh the decisions!! I used to trim the j cards down so they would fit inside the case!!!!

Now I just keep them in a box as they don't fit in the blusteel slips

I throw all lose cardboard and paper out, including slipcovers.

I keep the slipcovers on the steels and put the j cards in a box in case I want to sell some I'd include it. Don't throw them away though.

I keep them all, but not with the bluray. The stack is about 6 inches tall now. It's ridiculous. I don't really know why I keep them.

Ha, I did the same thing. Because some of the steelbooks didn't have art inside, so I thought was perfect way to keep jcards. I stop doing that now, cuz I just got lazy and keep all them in a stack.

I'm glad you brought up this interesting topic. I been wondering if others are doing the same or am I going to far with my collecting habit.

Always trim the card stuck to the back down to fit in the case. No reason to keep it but like to. I keep it cause it has the brief movie descipption length and other info.

I usually just throw the J-Card away and just leave the Steelbook in all its gorgeous glory.

I later put them in poly bags to keep them protected.

Yes I keep them in a special drawer called the garbage can
