I'm a relative newbie when it comes to steelbooks so I had to decide early on that I was going to go for movies that I really liked and staying away from region locked movies (unless something special comes along like Cinema Paradiso, Che, Il Postino, etc.)

...the whole process is just too addictive

So are the menus. So unless your Blu-ray player and your TV both support 1080i50 (most don't in the US), you can't play this region ABC disc. US PS3 cannot play Righteous Kill Blu-ray SteelBook.

The one Steelbook I will never own is Hancock. I absolutely hate this movie and have no desire to own this film on any form of media-yet alone a bluray steelbook-LOL

I too like the packaging artwork on the German 10,000 BC steelie. I actually like the film as well. The quality of the CGI animals do not match the level seen in the two Narnia films, but I like the story nonetheless. Actor Steven Straight did a decent job as D'Ley.

I have not seen Sweeny Todd, but I did obtain a mint (opened) pre-owned copy for $30. I really like the artwork on the cover which is the reason I decided to get it. That Johnny Depp is one crazy FREAK! He seems to get off on wearing tons of make-up and looking as bizarre as possible. I'm surprised he hasnt done a role as a draq queen yet. He would've been perfect in Too Wong Foo or Priscilla-Queen of the Desert.

I would do a back-flip to obtain Forbidden Kingdom on steelbook. It is one of my all-time favorite contemporary marshall art films. I am a huge fan of Jet Li, but I only like the ones that take place in China of the past (Fearless is one of his best, but there are many, many others that have not been released on BD yet).

I have never, ever seen Sex And The City (on TV or the movie). However, that pink steelbook case is a unique stand out amidst the others. Is it SICK to buy steelbooks just for the cover art? I don't think so.

Region locking is also never an issue for me. Who knows? Perhaps one day I will obtain a multi-region player (but I doubt it).

Which steelbook do I never plan to buy? Can't say for sure than any one stands out. That being said, some of the least appealing covers to me are: Leon, Der Nebel, Hyper Tension (Crank) and Bangcock Dangerous. But they are still in my collection

I had the 10,000 BC UK steelbook, watched the movie once and sold it on, really bad movie.

On the other hand I watched Righteous Kill today and actually thought it was ok, right enough I paid far too much for it because it was a steelbook but to me, it's a keeper.

Will be staying well clear of Bangkok Dangerous and DOA.

I never watched it and never will.

The funny thing is that this movie never got a blu-ray or dvd release.
The HD-DVD Steelbook, that's it!
