Yes, but they didn't go under when the bubble popped, and they were still profitable. You saw a decrease in output and more sub-only releases, but they did weather the storm better than say Media Blasters which by 2013 was almost at death's door (took until very recently for them to get back on their feet). Had Bandai Visual Japan not ordered them to shut down, they'd probably still be releasing stuff to this day.

Regarding Bandai, they were also putting out defective discs during 07-08. Code Geass, Lucky Star, Gurren Lagann all suffered from it due to whatever issue they had with their old replicator.

Any news on Digimon Season 1 sub blu-ray? It's been months since the dub release.

It's coming. Designs just got approved, so it's in the home stretch. Since it's a pretty drastically different cut it had to be AstroRes'ed entirely separately.

I miss the Bandai catalog, but not their over-priced offerings.

I wonder if Discotek will do anymore limited numbered editions? I like the ones I have.

It was apparently the anti-piracy/copy protection they were using on the disc causing issues with most if not all DVD Players. Which funny enough could be bypassed by copying the disc.
