Yes, absolutely. As I wrote above, this particular point is more about ownership vs. subscription rather than the format in which the bits are delivered to the consumer.

The guy mentioned 4 dollars for a 75 (bu could be 50,60 etc..)inch tv, 2 dollars for a phone version and 15 dollars for the cinema. I fear a scheme such as this being put into place. It could mean people won't pay the more expensive charge to watch on the big screen. As we have learned from DVD, cheap as chips wins the day. If this is put in place, they will find a way to make it work. It means we would be paying a premium to watch in our living room. Not good at all. |

Can I ask the guys into downloading, what happens to all the films that have been remastered for Blu Ray. All those hours of work would be wasted also companies would simply churn out existing material for download as the time and effort would not be worth it?

So for you PQ means nothing, that about sums you guys up?
How old are you son, I bet you love all the time you spend on various forums alone in your room, trying to get a rise out of people. I think your Trolling! Last edited by Mr Kite; 05-08-2016 at 06:34 PM. |

So because it means nothing to me, I’m trolling. This thread is all about the question Physical or Digital, and I firmly answered Digital.
![]() You are trolling the digital guys! :roll eyes: There you go Trolling again. I was born in 1963 Last edited by Rocket Richard; 05-08-2016 at 06:37 PM. |

Then give a proper justification for your case for Digital, your not interested in PQ, you would sooner dump Blu Rays that have been remasterd and have no interest what so ever in physical media even though you claim to be 53?

What makes you think remasters are limited to discs?

Most older remasterd films have been done in a way so as to appreciate grain, colour, contrast etc. Most of which is lost when compressed to digital download/streaming, which introduces many problems back into the film, macro blocking, compression artefacts, colour space, and in general why bother remastering if this is the case.
So all those hours of getting a film back to the way it looked in the cinema are wasted. PS Every and I mean everyone of the industry events for the release of new TV's/PJ's I have attended or watched have used physical media (Blu Ray) none at all have used streaming or download. That tells me something. Last edited by Mr Kite; 05-08-2016 at 07:01 PM. |
