Shipito do actually also have a free option. However, since their free warehouse is in CA, you can expect 6.5% CA sales tax to be added to every order you have shipped to that warehouse (unless the seller does not charge sales tax at all - I believe Moviezyng is one such seller, and OrbitDVD may be another one).

In general, Shipito's various fees (for consolidation etc.) are higher than Stackry's, but shipping to Europe is MUCH cheaper from Shipito than from Stackry. I mean, so much cheaper that you may very well come out on top, even if you take the 6.5% extra sales tax and the higher fees into consideration.

In my experience, Shipito uses cardboard that seems just a bit more thick and sturdy than what Stackry uses. Not that I have ever had any reason to complain about that part with Stackry, though.

Both will pack your stuff with extra bubble wrap, if you pay a fee. This service includes some 'fragile' stickers on the box from Stackry, but not from Shipito.

While Shipito's website says they only give you 30 days of free storage, in my experience you get a whopping 90 days both in the free warehouse in CA and in the paid membership warehouse in OR.

Oh, yeah, before I forget - whatever you do, do NEVER use Aramex as your courier.
it says 7 Days on the membership page ....

Are you referring specifically to mainland Europe? Granted, I haven't used Shipito for a couple of years but I've found shipping to the UK cheaper with Stackry.

Shout Factory are having a pretty generous sale (considering how expensive their stuff usually is) this week on a great many of their 4K titles, around £14-16 each. Assuming you buy a decent amount you can assume about £2.50 per title once Stackry costs are factored in. Not bad at all.

Yes. Assuming you buy say 10 discs, it's free delivery to Stackry, and then I'd estimate Stackry would charge about £25 to ship to the UK.

Have Stackry stopped using Global mail direct for UK shipments?

I have a package ready to ship and no option for them, the cheapest is now Amarex which I am wary of after reading horror stories about. After that is Connect by Fedex.

Anyone used any other method apart from Global mail and were they ok?

When i used global Mail it would Simply get handed off to Dai direct etc and the final Mile would be Amerex .... global mail was alway risky in that sense as youd often not know how you were getting you mail looks like they just decided to call it what it is ....

Never had that experience with my previous 12 shipments, Global mail always went to DHL with tracking from USA to UK Heathrow customs then initially Yodel for the last mile delivery then the last 8 or so was Royal Mail.

After reading the reviews on trustpilot for Amerex there was no way I was going to risk using them, I'll wait for someone else on here to comment on their experience of using them for UK shipments if the Global mail option has indeed gone or been rebranded.

I shipped a package about 6 days ago to the UK and the usual Global Mail Direct was offered. And it still appears when you use the Shipping Calculator. I would email them to ask why it isn't appearing now, before using a different method.

I was offered Amerex when I had a larger than normal parcel. I had no issues and arrived by FedEx in the UK.

Ok, good to know thanks. Didn't wanna risk this package as it has a few rare deleted pieces that has taken me a while to track down and can't easily be replaced but will try next time. Ponied up for the Fed ex direct service and its arriving tomorrow.

BTW, how long did it take & did it have full tracking like global mail used to?

Thinking about it, may be because part of my consolidation was from Scream factory and it includes several of those poxy posters the insist on including with the films (despite my e-mailing them saying I didn't want them after ordering) which make the package oversized with the tubes. From the Mr Drush9999 above, maybe Amerex is the only option for oversized boxes.

Was quicker than Global and had full tracking.

I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask but seems about the best option. I have always used a vpn (Mcafee) from the uk to buy stuff off the US ebay sending it to my stackry address and the vpn made the US ebay think i was in America. i have just bought a new pc and now with the vpn on the US ebay knows I'm in the UK and is putting international shipping on to my UK address. I have tried changing to stackry address but it reverts back to uk with full shipping. Has anybody had this and sorted it? or will another vpn say like expressvpn work? any help is appreciated.

you shouldn't Need a VPN ...

what you have is your "registered Ebay address" under account settings somewhere and then you have an address book of sorts where you can enter multiple addresses and pick and Choose what ever one you want to use during checkout ......
