I'm not saying that Bitrates are going to go up, but they can depending on what kind of Picture and Sound Quality will be provide to their Customers. Apple is the highest in the 30Mbps, and Disney+ will probably follow. You guys are right it's all about cost, but with so many Streaming Providers the competition will heat up and only the Strong will Survive! |

When I make a claim and someone provides verifiable, factual proof that my statements are wrong I don't continue to promote them. I check the claims and if I'm mistaken admit my error. That's what should happen when someone is proven wrong. But you continue to spout the same erroneous information as if it is fact when it has already been proven by people far more knowledgeable than myself that your claims are not true. Based on that, the only assumptions I can make are either you are doing it intentionally to get a rise out of people (a troll) or you are willfully ignorant. I don't know what other assumption to make. And I don't know what you being on this site longer than me has to do with anything. I joined when I discovered the site. To assume your comments have more merit because you've been on the site longer is ![]() |

Exactly. Wired or wireless doesn’t matter as (at best) streaming requires 30 mbps when my wireless speed is 200 Mbps down and 60 Mbps up (sustained). Plus I use wired connection which makes my down to be 600 Mbps (sustained, burst can go up to 800 Mbps). Still I can easily tell whether I’m watching stream or physical media.
My wife can watch a movie on Netflix on a 65” OLED when I enter the room and I can comment right away whether she’S using Netflix or BD. |

I trust my own eyes. Some idiots were claiming there was little difference with DVD and Blu. I watched my first film on Blu-Ray (Appocalypto) and I was stunned. I couldn’t help thinking how stupid some comments are. It was night and day difference.

As for 4K TV's I've read great reviews of the Vizio P-Series Quantum and they have Dolby Vision. The website claims 1200 nits but the review I've read said it is closer to 1000. But still much brighter than our current LG. |

Maybe try a different brand of glasses? I use both the official overpriced passive glasses offered by LG and another brand and I get great results with either. Changing glasses may not help, but it is an easy thing to try- just keep a pair the next time you visit the theater for a 3D showing and see if it helps or not. Blu-ray players want you to specify your screen size in their 3D settings menu; double check that your setting is correct. Thanks for the recommendation; I am looking at every make and model suggested. |

If people want originality, why look for it in a thread with such a narrow topic as this one when you can instead be watching a nice Hollywood sequel? Or maybe watch an insipid Netflix original that gets cancelled after just one or two seasons?
![]() When you have 17,679 comments in a thread, you're going get repetition. Coming here is voluntary the last time that I checked, so if you are bored by the conversation here, maybe the better question is why are you even here? This website has numerous other threads that you might find to be more evergreen fresh and scintillating. ![]() ![]() You could break up the perceived tedium by posting something interesting yourself. Instead of telling everyone else how boring they are, post something that you think is worthwhile. Be that great conversationalist that you want the rest of us to be; lead by example. Sustained criticism of each other will not have a good outcome for anyone involved. It is also as unoriginal as any comment that you will find anywhere upon these forums. So, have you received any discount codes having orders any Blurays from Amazon? Wondering if it’s just a U.K. thing. |

Amazon.uk sent me that promo, but I usually only buy 3D blu-rays from them, so I am not likely to use it.
