Plasmas can also be more durable in some cases too... I saw a guy chuck a remote control at a plasma screen and it maybe left a slight chip on the glass that was barely noticeable.

Years ago a friend of mine was moving a glass/metal coffee table through his living room and pushed up against his LCD TV screen with a sharp jut out edge of the table leg and he said it cut thru the screen like through skin and goo started oozing out like blood

Lol, not sure if he was joking about that or not,... but a plasma screen would only have a scratch on the screen in that case, instead of possibly tearing through that gel screen LCD/LED's have. I've always been afraid of something like that happening to my laptop computer screen too, haha!
