They're cheap toys so not a good representation of the films artstyle. LMM makes this a must see for me, so looking forward to the trailer whenever it releases.

As a Colombian, we're nowhere near that dark, especially in the mountains where we're from and where this seems to be set. Looks like they just looked at Mexicans and presumed we're the same.

After animation, they need to do sound effects and score, but it is relatively early, which means that the production probably went well.

They can do sound effects and score parallelly as well. I think it is more likely because they need to lock movie for marketing and distribution purposes.

And I guess after animation, they might be doing color timing, grading, rendering etc.

I remember reading Soul had a mad dash to get the movie done on time as well.
