I contacted PayPal to request a statement showing the declined purchases. It will take a couple of days to send it to me but I will then pass it on to Apple Support.

I suspect the requests for payment is not really Apple so they should be able to tell quickly from the statement what is going on.

I’m going to have check that statement even further back because the only reason I know about them is because there was no funds to pay from and there usually is money available so I could have been losing money and not have known.

FYI: since yesterday I have also been getting weird credit card charges from Apple. My Paramount+/Showtime subscription ($9.99) was due, but for some reason there are 3 charges of $9.99, the first two immediately followed by refunds. Probably some glitch in their billing system.

I notice the Lord of the Rings Extended Editions 4K set is on sale on iTunes.

Now, I know the Fellowship Extended Edition on Blu-Ray infamously had a “green tint” that was fixed for the 4K Blu-Ray.

My question is - is the Fellowship Extended 4K iTunes Edition the fixed version, without the green tint? (As a follow-up question, if I watch the iTunes version in 1080P, will it also be the fixed version, without the green tint)?

There’s trade offs. All three films have too much DNR for my liking, but it was Jackson’s choice. The colours and HDR are excellent though. If I’m being honest I probably prefer the 1080p extended Blu-ray versions that don’t have the same egregious DNR, but the 4K’s have their merits.

If you view it via the Apple TV app it’ll play in 4K. Don’t search for it, but play it from your library.

It is ridiculous. If you play it from your library via the iTunes movies app, or by searching for it via either store it’ll play in HD

Thanks for the response. I did end up purchasing the 4K Extended trilogy on iTunes, and yep, Fellowship definitely doesn't have the green tint in 4K.

I also downloaded the iTunes 1080P version and yep, that was also free of the green tint

One interesting fact - since I have Movies Anywhere, I checked out the version that unlocked on my Prime Account and that version DID have the green tint! (I had both versions on my monitor, side-by-side, and the difference was obvious). I guess Amazon never upgraded their digital copies?

I’m not sure how it’s done on Amazon. It could be that you’d have to buy them again on Amazon to get the newer transfers? No idea.

Maybe Itunes took it from you and gave it to me


I'm not sure if I am correct, but could it be under "The Adventures of Robin Hood"? I noticed some titles even in alphabetical order vary on different sites b/c they simplify or modify the title. The Fast and the Furious movies are a nightmare b/c they are all numbered as well and they still are all over the place

In fact most of my Warner Brothers titles are missing from my library, like Wizard of Oz and goodfellas.

I just checked, MA has my WB titles and so does itunes.

I assume you already disconnected/reconnected to MA?

Is it just itunes or MA as well? Maybe WB is cutting ties with apple or something

They are just missing from Itunes, MA is fine.

All of my MA titles are gone from my ITunes library, with the exception of ITunes purchased/redeemed movies

Yes my accounts are connected.

Others are having the same issue, not just me.

If logging out of both and back in doesn't fix it.... I don't know what's going on.

All the streaming services are hecka buggy.

I know when Apple does updates sometimes I have Smart home stuff that just doesn't work until I open the home app and click through the "what's new" stuff. So, in a case like that logging out or power cycling could help.

You might want to check again, they have reappeared in my library so they've probably done so in yours.

Ugh, I've never had problems with being refunded on movies before but within the last little while, my two refund requests were denied, even when I disputed the decision.

One request was for a foreign film with no subtitles and the other was for a movie that went on sale the following week. I've made these same type of requests on other occasions and never had an issue and was refunded with no questions. I didn't even watch either film. I hope this was isolated. lol

They’re not available via any country store, in fact it doesn’t actually look like they’re available for purchase via any digital retailer at all.
