I had a Yamaha receiver about five years ago after a Denon died on me and I generally was not impressed with it or YPAO. It always sounded very flat and a bit lifeless. Back to Denon after that one and never looked back.

I haven't been impressed by the Yamaha, either. I'll be getting a different brand when I upgrade at some point.

Highly recommend Denon or Marantz. Audyssey is superior as well and I've been very happy with it.
