Oh yeah!

By the way, did you guys see all the types of dust they put in the movie? The level of detail in their work is just mind blowing.

And the movie is amazing as well. Fun with a lot of heart.

The blacks in the intro scene where they rescue RC in Dolby Cinema made me feel bad about my TV. Loved the movie too.

There will not be a 4 disc set. Disney's given up on box sets.

I agree with imsounoriginal about Toy Story 3. Here's a big shocker, but I don't really care for the Toy Story movies much. I can enjoy Toy Story 2 and might end up getting it on UHD, but i don't like these movies by any means. Part of it is Pixar, as I find their movies to be too glossy and slick at times. And i'm not the biggest fan of the animation style. I much prefer traditional hand drawn animation. Pixar's made some excellent films, but they would not be in my top ten animated films. Just my preference.

That makes much more sense than September. September's way too soon fo this movie that JUST came out.

Not really. Most movies come out within 3 months.

Really? how long has this been going on? Mission Impossible Fallout took almost 5 months to come out. i'm not sure it's the case for every movie.

Pardon me if I am wrong.

Is this the first animated movie to have a 4K DI?

It all depends on how a movie preforms......if it bombs it will get a home video release much quicker but the average time between theatrical and home release has been shrinking the last 10 years to about 3-4 months average.

The last possible release date for Toy Story 4 i heard was November 5th.......The Lion King is also scheduled to be released that month.

But it doesn't work for the home theater. Honestly, you are the only person I have seen state that they actually like the "lower volume level"...which really translates into "no punch in the bottom end". Why do we suddenly need to stop doing (custom) home mixes? This just gives me a reason to avoid the Atmos mix (I haven't heard a good Disney Atmos mix yet).

Agreed!

Granted, I don't have kids, so I rarely get out for CGI kids/family movies (I did want to catch the latest HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON, but never found time), but as a fan of the TOY STORY series, I HAD to see 4. Plus, it was a "double feature" before CHILD'S PLAY as a day of "Andy's talking toys"....

But, man, oh man....TOY STORY 4 was just....stunning to look at. It was a good movie in general, but, countless moments in the movie were just breath-takingly real looking.

I didn't say I liked what Disney often times does to their Atmos tracks. I said DISNEY likes what they are doing to their own soundtracks. Hence the THEY in my comment.

Absolutely agree. This series is great, but part 4 which is still an overall good movie is still the worst in the series. My daughter who is 9 said they ruined it at the end. And I totally agree with her. They completely crapped on Andy, his sacrifice and pretty much all of part 3.

Be careful! Don't reveal too much info about the movie, without a spoiler tag.

it's funny you should mention this, the Dolby Atmos mix at the Prime AMC auditorium I saw last Thursday, had punch and more envelopment than the Atmos mix I heard earlier today in Dolby Cinema - I'm not sure how or why that turned out to be. Obviously the colors were much more dynamic in DC, but visually the 3D presentation (seen last Thursday) was far and away a visual treat.

Just watched this in Dolby Cinema and thought it was the most stunning animated film I’ve seen. Should be a great UHD and those carnival scenes in particular should look outstanding. And I liked the movie a lot. Might be my favorite in the series.

Both IMDb and the Deluxe page state a 4K DI. Any official confirmation on this?

So Avengers is getting a box set, does that mean there's a chance for Toy Story?
