While most of my contributions get approved within a day or so. I currently have 8 titles pending contributions ranging from a week old to over 5 weeks old.
7 of them are anime. Is the reviewer in charge of those here or on vacation or something? I've read that some titles are assigned to individuals. Don't really understand why that makes sense since it apparently causes some updates to not get applied in any timely manner. Seems that it should just go to the pool over reviewers and if something is questionable, then maybe go to a specific person. It would avoid bottlenecks for basic updates. The other title is for when I added the correct SKU for best buy on the new Drag Me To Hell BD over 5 weeks ago and it's still sitting there with $0 because the current SKU is not correct. At the time the title was on sale, but some may have missed out due to the incorrect SKU and not approving the fix. https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Drag-.../?retailerid=2 So, can someone on staff check on my pendings to see if something else is wrong or if the person responsible is around? Thanks. |

Yeah, I'm currently up to 14 pending contributions, with 11 of them at about a month old.
If one of the developers is reading this, I'd highly recommend revising the system currently in place that assigns contributions approvals to just the reviewers (apparently as I've been told). Some of them are just never around or are just not handling they're responsibilities. It's a nice idea in theory but is proving problematic, especially with Anime titles in my experience. i'd recommend assigning it to the the reviewer in such a way that if a contribution doesn't get reviewed within a week, then it returns to the open pool for any reviewer to take a look at. That would be much more helpful in keeping the site up-to-date and accurate. |

I currently am up to 69 pending contributions dating back 3 months. The ones that usually stick around for me are anime. The people responsible for approving those are either never around are just don't pay any attention.

Still waiting on several submissions to be approved. Some have been pending for over 3 weeks. What's the delay? I don't recall approvals ever taking this long.

Yeah, this past month or so, it has been taking much longer than normal for Contributions to be accepted. Some are quick, yet others are taking forever. Before this year, the longest I ever waited was 4 days, but this year, I have always had something pending.
I have three pending in my Pending Contributions. But when I look at the summary, I have 378 currently. Must be a bunch of new items, they do usually take longer to accept. |

I've seen some go 5-6 months before. I only have 22 pending at the moment ranging from 2 days going back 2 months to January 10th.
The problem is they assign titles to specific people to approve submissions. For some reason some of those people are just not around enough I guess (at least mostly with anime titles). They also don't seem to have a way of alerting when that situation occurs and submissions are sitting around for months. In the past I've had some luck bringing it up here in this thread, so perhaps that will work for you. If it's only been a few days, I wouldn't worry about it too much yet. After a week, then maybe mention it... after a month like some of mine, definitely mention since they likely will never be reviewed otherwise. |

My backlog of pending contributions is thankfully low at the moment, but I'm up to 2 months now on my oldest ones.

![]() Why wouldn't you just have a global queue so that anyone with access can go in and approve submissions? If submissions are being assigned to specific approvers, clearly (2+ years later, with multiple other threads on this topic in the Feedback Forum) it's still an ongoing issue that some approvers are inactive and/or not keeping up with their queue in a timely manner. |
