Default Blu-ray.com homepage improvement suggestion for creating tabs to filter new releases

I wanted to make a suggestion that in theory might improve the traffic coming to Blu-ray.com. Its my understanding that there has been around 30,000+ Blu-ray titles released (possible a lot more if one counts all regions of the world. This number of titles needs to be officially verified).

When coming to the Blu-ray.com homepage everyday, there is a massive amount of news on the homepage. My suggestion is that it would make it easier to find new releases if on the homepage one could select different category tabs. The default tab would be all new releases. However other tabs on the homepage to filter new releases could be categories like “Comedy”, “Horror”, “Science Fiction”, “Westerns”, “Action”, “Faith Based”, and “Family”. Also since the Blu-ray.com website lists hardcore adult movies in its database including professional reviews for them, a tab called “Adult titles” or “mature titles” could be created to only show those titles. Then one could filter the new and old releases down to certain categories to find things easier. For example when visiting the homepage the default setting would be category “ALL”, but if one wanted to filter down to only science fiction movies/TV series they could click on the “Science Fiction” tab.

Just a suggestion to improve how one can navigate through several thousands of Blu-ray titles. Some popular movies have more then 10 different options for the same title which is both awesome for some people and frustrating for others since it takes more time to decide which version of the movie to purchase.
