I don't mind double dipping from time to time. But don't you think its about time every release has a "disc only" option to purchase?
As the title of this thread suggests, I already have a steelbook of the classics and I don't really care if it says "UHD 4k" all over it. If the disc only option was $3-5 cheaper all that plastic i'd throw away could be put to better use. |

Would be an idea for 4K discs
Won’t be replacing my collection like I did with dvd to blu-ray, so would be nice to have the option to buy a 4K disc for say £10 rather than pay for the dual set at £20in hopes of redeeming back a few quid for the duplicated blu-ray 1080 disc |

There already is a place this is being done.
It's called ebay. I buy disc only 4K movies all the time to put in my existing steelbooks. Believe it or not - there are lots of people who buy the 4K premium steelbook editions who don't have UHD and just want to unload the 4K disc and keep the regular blu ray. |

See. I buy the 4k or 3d copy and end up with 2 2d discs. When I only want one.
The best way to do this would to have the companies who make blu rays just ship all 3 in one case like hmv have done for spider man and war for the planet of the apes. This way it's future proof'd |
