Awesome stuff! You're my go-to sci fi cover guy. If only they sold spare 5/6 cases. Hopefully the complete series set has them.

When I just try to print a JPG cover (either on my mac with preview, or on my PC with the print wizzard that always opens to print JPGs), the program always wants to scale the image to the paper. On my mac when i change 'scale to fit page' to 'scale 100%', the cover is huge and it only prints a small fraction of the center of the cover. This I don't understand, because I formatted the cover to be the standard size, so it wouldn't make any sense that 'scale 100%' would make it so big.

And since every cover out there is a JPG, I must be doing something wrong!

How do you guys print yours and still get them to not scale so they fit?

Thanks from
I use the built in Vista jpeg viewer and just uncheck the "fit picture to frame" option located underneath the picture. That being said I don't know how perfect measurement wise the custom covers people create are to the actual case covers. I mean DV8 just said your custom case size was a little different than the ones he does. I've printed a couple and maybe was 1mm off on each side. I had trouble printing the same covers using PS CS3. It cut off the right side. Both versions of printing were stock settings so to me it was easier using the Vista jpg viewer to print.

Nice job thor!! Are you familiar with the free form pen tool in Photoshop. It will let you write exactly where you want to (i.e. no over write on the gun and around the bullets) just by typing and not having to space it all out. If you don't PM me and I'll give you the quick guide to it.

Again nice and clean job on Departed!!

Thanks, I know most of the tools in photoshop but I usually import the cover into indesign to create text flow. I am about to re-upload the cover with the corrected text.

Edit: It's been fixed. Cleaned it up a bit also.

Hey thor, how goes the progress on your awesome hybrid Trek covers with dv8pdx? Those looked really promising (not that your other Trek covers weren't).

So do you think I should adjust my files to fit the right size (They seem to be creating difficulties!)? Now, my academy covers have a bleed around them so they were easier to print for me, but I guess I can crop them and repost them as well.

We're still working on getting the high-res images for the backs but for the most part they are finished. We'll have them posted very soon.

I also wanted to see if I could get some feedback on this Transporter Trilogy I just started. I am so happy I found this awesome website with high res gun photos

Edit: Updated progress. No one usually does this but I like feedback at different points in developement

Hey guys, the mods have told us more than once not to include the original images in a reply to a post. Lets not piss off the Gods!! Just edit your post and remove the IMG link if you have done the above. Lets keep it clean now that we have a new clean thread going!!

Nice Transporter start Thor! Looking good!
