I would suggest you consider bi-wire.
I may do that. Right now I feel as though it's missing something. Seems a little muffled to me, seems like the highs are high and not really any mids coming from it. I thought with the 6' woofers it would be more. Maybe it's me and not the speaker. I am going to re run the YPAO and see if that helps. Any tips or thoughts?

That C2 is immense... I have the C1 on a stand in front of my TV. Compared to my previous Polk LSi-C, it projected a better soundstage. The sound seems locked in the middle as opposed to a direct radiator where it is coming at you.

Now, I am thinking of upgrading to OMD-28s for the fronts AND purchasing a second C1. I could deploy my Parasound HCA-1206A to passively tri-amp the 28s. Both models are available right now at great prices from a local seller. This hobby gives you mad ideas from time to time.

Give it a couple days - it is shocking how it comes alive. The carbon fiber speakers are very stiff from the factory.

Those 6" woofer crank!

9.2 front height speakers????

If I go with the Onk 5008, have any of you installed front height speakers? If so, which Mirage speaker did you go with????

OMD-5's seem to me like a little much for a height speakers.

Saw the pics, looks great. How do you like the R's?? Can't wait to get my new HT done. I will have the 2 OMD-28, 1 OMD-C2, and 2 OMD-R's.

Thanks. OMD-R's! How do the 15's compare to the 28's? Would love to get some but the wife says no way.

I love the 15's, but the 28's are much fuller and deeper. The problem with the 28's is they are huge.

I would LOVE to get 28's down the road. But you first, you know I'll jump in right behind you!!!!!!

I took a look at your new pics -- those R's look sweet up on the wall, nice job.

I'm still considering using the two OMD-5's I have upstairs and moving them to the HT for front height speakers... IT NEVER ENDS!!!!!

I have 2 OMD-5's myself. I wonder if I could sneak those in past the wife. You first with those and the 28's.

Default Let's see pics of your OMD C2 placement

I have my C2 on an isolation riser, up off the floor six inches. It sounds great where it is but I'm starting to wonder if I should have it up a bit higher for better imaging

On a separate note, this weekend is going to be fun. I'm going to rework the stand so that the EMO is on the bottom shelf, and the AV items (Onk, BR & CD) are on the top shelf.

Who knows, that may make room for another EMO..........

I think it would, even with the omni-polar design of it. Having it closer to ear level should help with add'l clarity for your dialog.

Time to play in the workshop this weekend and make a matching stand (like the TV stand).

I'll measure tonight, but with the C2 being so big, I think the stand will only be 12 inches high at best. This would be even with top shelf.

Sounds good. My new center that is coming weighs 46 lbs ....I bought 2 cast iron 13" tall stands (filled with sand as well) for support, so I understand "big."

Man! I cannot wait to see the pics!!! Where did you get the cast iron stands? Five more days!

Last night I came up with a design to build a "floating" stand for the center channel. If it turns out the way I envision, I'll have some pics up on Sunday.
