Yup, Via Vision is an arm of Madman.

I now have myself a contact over there. He says they're currently sourcing all of the materials and they're very excited about releasing the set. They also said that the HD master for the remake is coming direct from Universal, so it shouldn't have any of the issues of the Italian disc.

If anyone has more queries I'll shoot them through.

Cheers for the info. Would you be able to find out if the DVDs will be region free or region 4 locked?
Thanks

I have a feeling they will.

I wonder if the final cover art will be a variation of the JB Hi-Fi are using, or if it'll be even better? Look forward to seeing

Will this possibly be Region FREE (the Blu-rays) since the films are from Universal? Also, I hope the artwork changes. It needs the house on the front.

Via Vision's Ray Harryhausen Collection was Region B locked, so it's not looking too promising.

Looks like it will be the final artwork unfortunately.

Bit disappointing, but hey - it's what's inside that counts

Could you ask them more about Psycho IV please ?

Is Universal providing a brand new HD transfer for Psycho IV ?
I was hoping that they may have gone back to the original 35mm negatives and created a new "true" 16:9 version.

From what I can remember of Psycho IV it was a TV movie broadcast in 4:3.
I've also seen a version where the 4:3 image has been cropped to create an artificial widescreen version.

So will this set present the film in 4:3, cropped 16:9 or true 16:9 ?
And will it be genuine HD or upscaled ?

I would be very grateful if you could get more info about Psycho IV from them.
Thanks.

Can't fully rely on website retailer info. Psycho Legacy will be on it's own DVD disc.

*shrugs* The back cover has a Region B symbol on the back cover, I was going off that. Happy to hear it's Region A compatible, though I cannot confirm.

Yeah, you'd think back covers would be a reliable source for region coding, but they're really not. Many companies just put the region symbol for the country of sale on the back cover regardless of the actual region coding just because it's easier.
