I've never used an Android TV, but I read they are known for being clunky but offering a good range of apps.

I'm more so waiting on the new Vizio 2020 TVs to be released since they'll also having HDMI 2.1 and like the Hisense they will support all HDR formats (HLG, HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision) unlike LG and Sony both which don't support HDR10+ nor does Samsung support Dolby Vision.

I prefer Roku, but if you have a TV with the Android Smart interface I'd use the built-in streaming apps. and now all of Sony's 2020 TVs come with the new Android Pie operating system and many of the 2018 and 2019 Sony TVs got firmware updates to the new Pie system.

With the greatest respect, I just wanted you to consider Sony's new X900H as the video processing is the best so for up-conversion of low resolution content like cable, and motion resolution of all content, and color accuracy of all content Sony is the best.

Also very little content is in mastered in HDR10+ and all HDR10+ content is also graded in the SMPTE standard HDR10 so you will enjoy all HDR content on any Sony or LG TV.

Forgive Me Robert, you are aware that this is a Hisense appreciation thread, so why are you pushing other brands?

@Roy_Batty, very sorry and you are correct for calling me out.

I got carried away when i read questions about Vizio's 2020 TV and then Roku and Android operating systems and apps.

I am now owner of a new 55" H8G Quantum HDTV. I'm posting this picture. Is this blooming? Is this too much to be acceptable? I don't notice it so much on actual content other than solid color. This was taken in Theater Night mode. Backlight 65. Brightness 50.

I would advise that you go to a website I swear by rtings.com
they have reviews and settings recommendations for many tv
brands. Here are the ones for the H8F:

https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/hisense/h8f

https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/hisense/h8f/settings

I have the H9E-Plus, and I always use HDR Standard to watch
4K Blu-rays.

I'm exchanging this manufacturers defect for another one today.

My understanding is the LED array should bot bleed through the panel like this.

I think I might get the H9G when it comes out. I just wish the release dates were known. I feel like I've been wanting to get a new tv forever.

I've been looking all over the place to order the 55" model. Can't wait for BB to finally get the 55" H9G in stock.

I hope the 55 inch comes out in a July 4th sale, because this waiting is pissing me off. And now the 65 inch is sold out.
