Synecdoche, New York was the mot depressing movie I have ever watched. It is depressing because hte main character's life is sad. Does that qualify?

Also, Man on the Moon made me very sad at the end.

I just saw Awakenings today. That movie really just made me super depressed. It's the only good depressing film I could never watch again.

Green Mile, Mean Creek are another and Lion King lol.

Old Yeller. When it came to making moviegoers cry, Walt Disney was the master. I couldn't bring myself to own Old Yeller on DVD, and I'll pass it up on Blu as well when it's released.

Going to have to go with Windstruck, a Korean movie. The only movie in years that has made me come close to crying.

Awakenings was such a good movie and it was depressing. De Niro should have won an award IMO
Green Mile is pretty depressing too, mostly the very last scene with Hanks.

Someone else mentioned Where the Red Fern Grows, that book killed me. Very tough couple chapters for any dog owner.

I don't think De Niro deserved to be nominated for Best Actor but win Best Supporting Actor. It's a great film but I don't understand why I can't ever watch it again. I guess I hated
[Show spoiler]seeing the Doctor fail at the end.

Think the saddest movie I've seen is 'About Schmidt'.That ending was just downright sad

'Sideways' had also sad moments, but what a great ending

Can't wait for Alexander Payne's new movie though Think he is one of the best in hollywood at the moment.

I'd add Leaving Las Vegas and Requiem For A Dream.

I'm so confused about checking this film out or not. Critics hated it and called it boring but then it's supposed to be really beautiful. Then there are people that like it. Care to enlighten me on why you like it and why I should see it?
