Videodrome (1983) coming from Arrow Video

Hoping we get a 1 or 2 disk version with standard Blu-Ray packaging within a couple of months given the amount that has sold out and how much it's going for on the secondary market within days of release.

There is going to be a single disc version from Arrow. The book and early films disc were what was limited to this set only.

I fear mine has been lost somewhere in transit from amazon UK to Norway, as it was shipped on August 16 but still hasn't arrived Normally it doesn't take more than a week. And of course they will not be able to send me a replacement since it is now OOP. For those who have received it from Amazon, is it a big parcel/box which needs to be picked up at the post office, or will it fit in a normal mailbox?

I am in the same boat as you mine shipped on the 15th and still nothing, I ordered something else from amazon on the 20th and it got here in 3 days so i am worried that videodrome is lost

I have also received several other items from Amazon which were posted days after Videodrome.

It will fit in a mailbox, but won't go through a normal letterbox, if your box has a letterbox size slot then it won't fit. If it has a door then it should be okay. It's in one of the bigger wraparound parcels Amazon use.

Mine (from Amazon) didn't fit through our 'normal' letterbox, it was left with a neighbour.

Wasn't it a Betamax tape? I'm pretty sure it was, because a VHS was too large to fit in to the prosthetic.

Im in the US and I dont know what is going on with shipping from UK to US, but none of my August packages have arrived (including Videodrome). July was great, I was receiving orders in about 8 days.

well hopefully they all just got delayed by customs, i am going to wait an extra week after delivery estimate to contact amazon just in case it shows up, kinda sucks since its already out of stock everywhere

I've been ordering UK imports for years and years because of Doctor Who and it's very, very random. One time I get it in literally 3-4 days, the next time it takes two weeks. One shipment took almost a month once, I was literally about to email Amazon about a replacement when it showed up.

I would imagine it all has to do with how much attention customs randomly puts on it. At least we don't pay for it, like most of Europe seems to.

Over here in Europe, it's all to do with customs. Don't take this wrong, but when I see Americans complaining they didn't get their package from Europe after two weeks, try waiting 4 weeks to 2 months for a simple CD or blu-ray order to arrive. I don't even bother contacting a US vendor before 4 weeks have passed simply because I'll get the standard explanation and chances I'll get it that last week are extremely high. I know with paypal there is a limit for filing complaints or open cases, that would be the only reason I'd contact someone sooner.

Same deal here in Australia and the longer you wait the higher chance your package will look like as if someone used it for a rugby ball.

I finally received my copy of Videodrome today (in Norway) PHEW!

It was stamped "Missent to Thailand" next to the address sticker, so that might explain why it took almost 3 weeks... Luckily it wasn't crushed or damaged.
