No.why do you think we have 2,4 or BT1886 gamma?because all is done in 2.2,most old movies is done with 2,2 but newer movies is 2,4 or BT1886.

I hope someone on here who's in the market for a new set in that size, jumps on it.

I’m at my local Costco now, and they have the 55” C8 for $1500, the 65” C8 for $2500, and the 65” C9 for $3449.

No sign of the 55” C9, and the 55” C8 isn’t running the same Dolby Atmos / Vision Demi the 65” are.

The C9 might have slightly less glare than the C8, but the C8 is lower in the store, so a big part of that might be looking up at the C8. Not sure.

Nice sets, but can’t see why I’d pay more for these when the 55” E8 is basically a C8 and $200 less.

Same price with most other authorized LG dealers.

Let's see what happens this weekend with Memorial Day promotions at my favorite LG and Sony facotry direct authorized dealer.

From the HBO GO website. My 2016 C6 OLED model is not listed but the E6 and B6 are. Can anyone confirm or deny they can get the HBO GO app on their LG E6, B6 or C6 models? You do need to ensure you are updated on the current firmware.

In which LG TV models is the HBO GO app supported?

Has anyone had any issue with blurring or juddering on the LG B8? I experience this on blu-rays and through the YouTube app - primarily what I use on my television. This is driving me so crazy that I'm close to the point of returning the TV (a couple days left to return it). I've tried every dang setting on this TV, too, over the past week and a half. "Cinema Home" is the only setting for blu-rays that helps it to some degree. And YouTube is unwatchable unless set to the factory settings under Standard or Cinema.

I don't know what's going on then.

Maybe you are just ultra-sensitive to the fast response rate. You could try black frame insertion - IIRC it's in the TruMotion sub-menu. You'll know when you hit the right one as the screen will appear to dim.

Was just about to buy a C8 and I thought this was stated as a non-issue , Now after reading a few more reviews I'm not so sure .

"aggressive ABL dims the entire screen when there are large bright areas, like when watching hockey" (maybe it's a good thing that can save your eyes)

I watch over a 100 Hockey games a year .

When I first got a 1080p Sony Led in 2016 it kept dimming on scenes that were driving me mad till I changed the settings and shut something off . I don't remember what. Is this the same thing and you have no option to turn it off ?

That's why one gets their set professionally calibrated by a ISF certified calibrator.

I have never noticed aggressive ABL on my B8. ABL is there and serves a purpose but isn’t obvious. The C8 had a firmware issue but it was fixed. If anyone sees aggressive dimming with up to date firmware they have some Eco settings turned in.

Anyone know if the OLED B8 55 inch is worth getting it's going for $1599 at Target and Best Buy and originally it's at least full priced at 2299. I have been eyeing it along with some other 4K TVs too just not sure since i have had Samsung most of the time but most everyone say's that OLED is really good overall though.

I am getting this very TV soon. Upgrading from Vizio 2018 p series which is excellent for FALD but OLED is... well, OLED lol. Clear step up. Plus Vizio QC is garbage. I went through two of them and the second still had problems.

Here's to OLED!

To be fair, any TV/brand can have issues these days, with how complex they/the panels are.

My first LG B6 was returned the next day because any sort of non-black (grey, dark blue, dark greens, browns, etc) looked like I was watching through an old/dirty screen door.

My second one still has some weird panel lines/cross hatching effect on certain greys and near-black scenes, and the lower right edge has some vignetting.

BUT, over 90% of the time I don't really notice them that much (I mean, I DO notice them, but that's because after I saw them the first time, I focus on them now), and still kept/loved my second one.

I would hope/assume that by the 8 series, such issues were even less of a problem.
