Or maybe bath tub scene as it has become clear he did not die in bath tub having heart attack.

Is this the press release? I'm not so sure about the artwork. Up until now Lionsgate has always just written Digital on the grey banner (not Digital HD), and the 4K Ultra HD logo on the bottom of the spine looks off.

Tough is 100% correct. Its not "my way," its the original cut of the film as Kubrick originally intended. But that doesn't fit your argument, so you try to skew it to attack me instead. Glad you're not a lawyer, you'd lose all your cases with petty attacks instead of actual using facts. Nice try though!

I hope this means LG will go deeper into their catalogue.

Hi-Def Ninja's.
Haven't seen the movie in decades but I remember a balcony scene that seemed out of place ??

Thanks for the heads up! I saw the US announcement and would much rather the 4 disc set with the documentary.

Yet he cut and approved the European version. It's an official release, just not on your side of the pond. It's a good thing you're not a lawyer, either. Although with the temperament you've shared with us over the years on these threads, that would be a hilarious sight to behold.

I wouldn't take that as gospel. I can't imagine those will be the only extras.

At the risk of stating the obvious: This is StudioCanal's movie, all LG are doing is releasing it in the US on their behalf.

So, in keeping with past such releases, the chances are pretty much zero that Lionsgateís transfer will be an improvement over StudioCanalís, so fervent fans really need to place all their chips on the non-U.S. release, yes?

You keep 'em coming Ross, I'll keep wrecking 'em. It's kinda my thing. Seriously though, Lionsgate don't really have much of a deep catalogue to call their own, it's their distribution deal with StudioCanal (which goes back to the old days of Artisan) which has given them a lot of iconic movies to represent.

@ FM

Yes, if T2 and Evil Dead 2 and the Rambos (plus previous BDs like the remastered Total Recall and Highlander) are any indication then the US video encode will be bit-for-bit identical to the Euro disc or even the same entire disc outright, for better or worse.

I asked a question, its not an arguement.
Kubrick approved both versions, he had the power to remove things he didn't like.
You are the one arguing with a thread again.

I'll be keeping my UK order then since it will have more supplements than the U.S. version.

I'll probably be going with the UK version at this point but we'll see what happens.
