USA Uncharted: Golden Abyss

Uncover the dark secret behind the 400-year-old massacre of a Spanish expedition as Nathan Drake follows the murderous trail of an ancient and secret Spanish sect. Caught in the middle of a rivalry between Jason Dante - his old friend - and Marisa Chase - the granddaughter of an archeologist who has mysteriously vanished without a trace - Nathan Drake races into the treacherous river basins, undiscovered temple ruins and karst caverns of Central America in search of a legendary lost city, only to find himself pushed to the edge of the Golden Abyss.
  • Join Nathan Drake on an epic journey through undiscovered lands as he makes his debut on PS Vita.
  • Versatile gameplay for the Uncharted fan - Traditional (Dualstick Analog/button) or interactive (PS Vita features) allows players to choose the method that compliments their playing style.
  • Experience the adventure with intuitive, immersive controls as you touch, steer and tilt the PS Vita to snipe, swing, and jump. Traverse environments using front and back touch, and also control the movement of Drake on ropes and slides using the motion sensor.

Well that explains the two hours. Love the logo against grey like that.

Video interview from the EU PlayStation Blog:

I need to see this touch grenade throwing! There's a character called Dante. Maybe the REAL DMC Dante took a holiday in Unchartedland.

Was there anybody who actually thought the 2 hours meant something else? Come on, this is Naughty Dawg (hands down the best developer in the world this generation). They aren't going to give you a ridiculously short game.

Sony Bend (Syphon Filter, Resistance Retribution) is developing this.

I'm still very unconvinced about the touch screen fonctions but I understand that you can ignore them. Other than that it looks very good!

Some people noticed the "Network play: no network play" spec on eu.playstation.com and assume there's no multiplayer but those product pages very commonly have incorrect information.

Super Stardust Delta will have online play (details TBD) but that's listed as "Network play: no network play". All the games are listed as having no local Ad-hoc multiplayer which is doubtful. Even more telling is the "Infrastructure mode: none" for everything, including the games they spec with network play. I think they just default to "no" for anything they don't have the full specs for yet.

Quote:
Super Stardust Delta

Genre: Shoot'em Up
Players: 1 - 8
Media type: Download
Network play: no network play
Ad Hoc Mode: none
Infrastructure Mode: none
See, it doesn't add up. Everything's listed as a download, no mention of physical game card release, too. Don't trust eu.playstation.com specs!

Quote:
Uncharted Golden Abyss

Cross format compatibility: PS3-NGP
This was already hinted at though. Some Uncharted 3 linkup.

[Show spoiler]

You know what's funny... and kinda weird...

I'm willing to spend $4,000+ on a new 3DTV and $1,000+ on a new receiver to play Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception in its best presentation. But, I'm still not convinced to buy a Sony Vita for this game.

Same here, I bought a psp and yet only really played it when the wifey was in labor and I was stuck in the hospital at night. I really wanted this game though so heres hoping that it comes to the ps3 at some point.

I wouldn't mind picking up a PSV. I need a handheld anyway. But like Bizdady, I'd not mind it coming to the PS3 as well. Looks like it could port easily.
