Default Must have PSP Games?

I love my Vita and the games available on it. I also play some of the older PSP game on it. Recently, I have really been wanting to get a PSP and start collecting some of the games.

What are some of the "must have games" for the PSP? I will play pretty much anything, action/adventure, RPG, graphic novels, platformers, shooters, strategy, etc.

Here is a short list of some games I have found so far from Amazon. Thanks.

PSP Games List

I see you already have Jeanne D Arc and The 3rd Birthday on there.
Other than those 2, Final Fantasy 7: Crisis Core is what I would say.

A lot of people also really liked the Disgaea games for the PSP. I would also say the Patapon games.

If you like rpgs I'd suggest the Y's games, Gungnir, Tactics Ogre. The siphon filter games for psp are good too

Needs Mana Khemia Student Alliance, Black Rock Shooter The Game, Disgaea series, Phantom Brave, Growlanser Wayfarer Of Time, Gods Eater Burst and many others. If I included Japan-only titles, then it will take weeks to write them all including Valkyria Chronicles III, the thousands of great Visual Novel titles, Fate/Extra CCC, Shining series, etc.

Thanks for the replies! I actually ordered FFVI:CC and bought FFI & FFIV.

I'm going to add a bunch of your suggestions to my wish list. Thanks again.

It should be mentioned that Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is capped at 20 frames per second, which for an action game, I find unaccepctable, whereas the PS3/Xbox 360 re-release runs at 60 fps and 720p resolution, as well as other improvements such as native twin stick support (the vita's right stick emulation isn't good enough due to the lack of any aim acceleration), and online play.

The PSP is a great system, but it's the worst version of the game with a lot of compromises. Unless if you really need a portable version, I frankly wouldn't bother with the PSP version.

If you like puzzle games, I would check out Lumines (any version is good), and the PSP version of Lemmings is actually one of the best non-PC versions available.

Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles just so you can play the best version of Symphony of the Night.
