Mifune fan - I have no complaints with mine. There is a bit of a slump, but not very noticeable unless you really take a very close look. I've had plenty of shelves but these I've had for at least 2 years and hold up pretty good. They also are a perfect fit for blu-rays in terms of depth and height. It's all nice and even. Capacity is 64 single case blurays per each shelf. Right now I'm good until I reach 600 (if ever) and then I have room against the wall for another one of these. I like the depth because I can place some boxsets on top. I'm thinking also about adding some posters above them.

I'm a HUGE fan of IKEA Billys. I have lined entire walls with them.
Here's a pic of my movie section. Needs much attention, summer project.
I would totally marry Billy if I identified as a bookshelf.

I paid $30-$40 for mine and had boards cut as the they do bow. Still a nice shelf and definitely worth it for under $20. Though I now use different storage as the collection grew.

That's what I ended up doing. Bought one 1"x6"x12' pine board (cut in half at the store) for the sides and nine 4' boards for the shelves (was cheaper than five 8' boards that I planned on cutting in half). I then cut 8" off of each 4' board leaving me with 40" wide shelves that are 8" apart. One shelf spacing will be slightly bigger since it doesn't work out perfectly. You can make that the top shelf if you want to put special box sets up there. The spare pieces can be used as bracing in the center of each shelf but they don't really bow yet since it's 3/4" thick pine wood. I believe the total cost was under $100 after using a 20% coupon

I don't have a back to them yet but I can always add that later. And I haven't stained/painted it yet as I will do that once I get other furniture for it to match.

edit: I used the Kreg pocket jig to assemble everything.

Same here! I display my boxed sets in front also.

I own 2 of those Atlantic Elite towers, and 2 little ones. I bought them earlier this year when they were on sale as well. Not the best quality, but they are holding up pretty well. PITA to assemble. It's highly recommended to assemble with 2 people, especially when you're nailing the backing. Less than an hour to assemble WITH 2 people. The only think I did not do is screw the sides down to the wall. Instead I used thin cardboards on the base to level it up against the wall. I have pics of it in my HT gallery.

I bought that same Elite Media Tower as a birthday gift to myself in April.

God, I regret that decision, especially as I can't return/exchange it at Best Buy and it's breaking apart faster than the Titanic.

Yep I miss the old Atlantic before they were bought out by the Chinese. The old shelves were so much nicer and the movies didn't hang off. I know a lot of people have them where they hang off and haven't had issues but to me I just don't like that.

Sure, the shelves sometimes bow a little, but it hasn't been a problem for me. Whenever I need to expand (I alphabetize titles, which means I have to re-sort the shelf contents once or twice a year when I add a new shelving unit), I flip the shelves over, if I see they are bowing. Both sides of the shelves are finished, and they don't have notches for pegs, so they can be be flipped easily.

It killed me when Atlantic discontinued my preferred CD rack. They were just about perfect and I've never come across anything since like it.

I honestly buy precut wood and make my own. It doesn't take much skill. The hardest parts are drilling holes for the pegs and cutting each shelf, but for the most part you don't have to measure anything.
