I was a big fan of GNR but I have to say they sounded terrible when I saw them live (double billed with Metallica). Metallica blew them away. Will they sell the stand alone Bluray audio disk?

So far, it doesn't seem like it. just like some other deluxe sets, typically this is the only way to get it.

I would buy the blu ray, but there's no way I'm paying $180 for a super deluxe set. I enjoyed the reunion tour, hopefully they do another one.

I seriously doubt the Locked n' Loaded edition will be discounted at all, and probably not available on Amazon. I doubt they'll have much trouble selling the limited 10,000 units at $1000 each.

It's notable that the track listings don't include any of the Promo Edits. For Sweet Child O' Mine, a 3:57 edit/remix was the European single version, and a U.S. Promo. Also existing are two edits at 4:18 and 4:57 (I think, one called the CHR Remix and another the All Day Parts mix, these are on yet another promo CD single). Double checking, it looks like the All DayParts Mix and the CHR 3:57 edit are the same thing, and the longer track at 4:57 is taken from the audio track of the music video, so it just cuts about a minute.

Welcome to the Jungle is available as a 3:41 and 4:10 edit (again, the CHR remix and All Day Parts mix) from Japan. I'm not aware of any edits at all for the third hit single from the album, Paradise City.

While not part of the Appetite for Destruction, G N R Lies sessions, November Rain is an interesting case. There are no official edits of the song, because the band refused to allow the label to edit it. What the label did was allow music directors at radio stations to create their own edits, and release a promo CD of those edits through a trade magazine, HitMakers. The edits range from four to seven minutes, there are five on that CD plus the original 8:56 version.

Axl and later, Matt Sorum, were neighbors of mine in the same West Hollywood condo building during the peak popularity of Appetite for Destruction and the Use Your Illusion recording sessions. It was the same two apartments that were later given away in an MTV contest. I don't know who won, but apparently they rented those units to Carrie Moss, who lived in them next.

Not to mention, including the LItho graph poster with rape scene artwork.
Sure , the "immigrants and fa&*ts" line is a offensive, but the Rape Scene and ripped panties poster is even more offensive to me.. I don't see the need for a large poster of that.

5.1 mix by Elliot Scheiner, if that isn't the surround news of the year I don't know what is!

All of Appetite + Patience by Elliot Scheiner in high resolution 24/96 surround? Bung! Take my money!!

That song is apparently about a dog. So if anything I'm surprised PETA hasn't gone after them over that one.

The 2CD version will be enough for me. I have an Appetite reissue on vinyl already. Had an original years ago with the original cover. Sold it like a dummy lol

I did notice that Amazon had the super deluxe edition in MP3 format for $28.

https://www.amazon.com/Appetite-Dest...NFQVGAF3MSZ4HA

I wonder if other placers like HD tracks or Onkyo will off them in higher resolutions.

I've loved Guns N' Roses all my life. I saw them twice last year, in Little Rock and then in Louisville. Both shows where awesome and I'm already nostalgic over them. The Little Rock show I was the first row seat behind the pit, the Louisville show I was on the rail in the pit.

It was awesome to see Slash and Duff on stage with Axl. When those two left the band back in the 90's I didn't care much for GNR after that. I mean, Axl is great, but Velvet Relvover had more of a right to call themselves GNR than Axl's new band did.

This set lacks One in a Million?! That is so f***ing weak.

I'm offended by people who are offended by an imaginary cartoon monster raping an imaginary cartoon woman and I identify as a 1957 Gibson Les Paul.

I'll probably go that route, possibly also buying the 2cd version at Target (where I get an exclusive iron-on patch!)

It probably should have always been that price. When you do the conversion from US to Canadian, now the prices make sense. I had pre-ordered mine at 183$ CDN. So it didnt make sense that the US one was close. 139$ is more like what it should have been.

Default Sweet Child O' Mine Video

I know there were a few different versions of the Sweet Child O'Mine video that MTV aired...I Have them on an old VHS Tape somewhere...It would really be great if they had included each version as well, but this seems like a good set regardless and I am really excited to hear the 80's versions of November rain.

Before anyone asks I can't remember the exact differences but I think one may have just been their performance..but don't quote me

It’s AFD so of course no November Rain, however Patience is included (music video) and has a brand new 5.1 mix by Elliot Scheiner.
