Default Marillion - Live at the Royal Albert Hall (8-10-18)

https://www.amazon.com/Marillion-All...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Anyone know anything about this?

Quote:
British rock band Marillion, founded in 1979, have become one of the most commercially successful neo-progressive rock bands of the 1980s and are still one of the most outstanding representatives of their genre. Throughout a celebrated career that has spanned almost four decades they have released 18 studio albums and sold over 15 million copies worldwide. On October 13, 2017, Marillion played at the Royal Albert Hall for the very first time. The concert was sold out in a split second and the audience, travelling from all over the world, was rewarded with an incredible Marillion show. In two parts, "All One Tonight" firstly showcases the band s acclaimed 2016 studio album "F E A R" in full. Accompanied by an awe-inspiring light show and films, Marillion perform their incisive and era-defining zeitgeist with unparalleled passion and power. The second half introduces 'In Praise Of Folly' and guests, a string quartet with flute and French horn that throughout the rest of the show inject an extra depth and emotion to some of Marillion s best-loved live material. The concert film was directed and edited by Tim Sidwell and recorded and mixed by Michael Hunter. Available on 2CD, 2DVD, 2 Blu-ray, 4LP (180 gram) vinyl and Digital
As someone who practically worships 80's Marillion with Fish, I am unsure if this will be any good.

I have seen them many times with Hogarth. You owe it to yourself to check out what they've been doing since Fish.

Hmmm...

If only they would remaster and release on Blu-Ray the Live at Loreley concert. Masterful work and they did the entirety of Misplaced Childhood.

I just picked up the deluxe edition of Misplaced Childhood on vinyl, not too long ago. I got it quite cheap on clearance. One of the best record acquisitions of the year, so far. I would definitely be curious to hear this. And I'd love to see Live from Loreley get a BD release.

I too picked up the deluxe Misplaced Childhood along with remastered Fugazi.

Been a sonic delight in my house.

I have this on order but Amazon keeps pushing out the delivery date. I have the Misplaced Childhood and Brave Blu Ray sets and both are great. Clutching At Straws is next but Steven Wilson wasn't involved this time.

I have been having probably one of the most humbling conversations via e-mail with Mark Wilkerson who painted all the album covers for Marillion and a few other bands. His ideas behind some of the concepts are phenomenal and have so much layered meaning.

Looks like Clutching at Straws is getting a Deluxe release.
