Default LG Wi-Fi 3D 4K Blu-Ray Player (BP735)

Going to buy this tomorrow

LG Wi-Fi 3D 4K Blu-Ray Player (BP735)

I'm looking for a good 3D 4K Bluray player that will play a lot of formats

Here is the formats that it plays

MPEG-1; MPEG2 PS/TS; MPEG4 AVC; SMPTE VC1; DivX; DivX HD; MKV; AVC Rec; AVC HD; M4V; WMA; 3GP; MP4; MOV; FLV; VOB; TS; DAT

Can someone let me know if this a good player and also can it be made region free

I was under the impression the 4k players were not out until next year?

Default LG Wi-Fi 3D 4K Blu-Ray Player (BP735)

If I own an LG 4k TV, doesn't the TV already upscale to 4k? Why would one need a 4k up scaling blu Ray player?

Its not a 4k bluray player just upscaler... also doesn't support h265 so pointless.

+1, up scaling is just another way to sell you what we believe is an upgrade but is not, they did the same thing with up scaling DVD players just before bluray came out, they want you to think its new technology so you by it then a year from now they come out with actual 4k players, don't waist your money.

Will this model play in the US? I don't see it listed on LG's site, maybe it's Canadian only?

I've got the BP740 model here in Australia and that one is very good. Don't use the 4K upscaling since i don't have a 4K TV but it does great DVD upscaling and Blu-Ray video quality.

Yeah, it is hard to find stuff about this player on the internet for some reason. It might be Canadian only, as I bought mine from Amazon.ca out of Mississauga Ontario, and it has the full French/English box and instruction manual that you get with Canadian versions of products. But US and Canada share the same region (Region 1/A), so if you're American, it will work there too.

The LG BD735 is a great 3D blu ray player too, the best blu ray player I've ever had (I'm on my sixth player). Nice display, fast open/close, fast menus and fast loading time. Nice look too. Oh, and no auto shutoff where you lose your space if it is paused too long, which happened with my now-returned Sony and Samsung players.
