Default comparison of ap version and ayngaran version

I have got API original Sivaji BD bought through online last month and I noticed the video bit rate is around 25 Mbps where as the video bit rate of the sivaji ayngaran version reaches even 35 Mbps.
While AP edition has DTS HD MA, the ayngaran version has LPCM also.
The LPCM version sounds excellent.
why is the difference?
Is it a cost cutting measure?

API didn't consult me for this re-release....as a result it is full of flaws. The out-of-print first edition (Ayngaran) is the one I personally supervised and is the version I would recommend obtaining.

^What I'm interested to know Sunny, is why the previous video encode was nor reused for this authoring? Is it a rights issue between Ayngaran and API?

API didn't know how to reuse the original. They should have consulted me about this.

Default audio coding requirement

I am told the Blu Ray standards require both LPCM and dolby digital TrueHD audio formats to be offered compulsorily. Is it so? In that case API may consider giving LPCM also.
Eventhough theoretically DTS HD MA and LPCM audio outputs need to be identical bit by bit, the volume level seem to be high in DTS HD MA and LPCM sounds more complete and pleasing.
sorry, if it is a personal preference one.

Never heard that and in general it's not true. Most releases offer one lossless track (Some region B releases offer more than one lossless track for different languages) and one or more lossy dolby digital tracks.

Thank you for the information. I also found this information in detail under FAQ 1.19 of Blu-ray.com. Doubts clarified. The studio releasing the title is free to adopt any format. The mandatory requirement is only for Blu Ray Players.

I think your mileage may vary - mine is working just fine and is one of the most colorful blu-rays I own!
