I'm sure it'll the nerfed, the pg13 p2 was their way of seeing if people would pay for it, and it seemed as if people don't care.

No need to worry. It's confirmed that Deadpool will remain R-rated.

Although this Deadpool 3 movie may be produced by Marvel Studios, I suspect it won't be part of the MCU, and may even still be released under the 20th Century Fox banner (like New Mutants), especially given the possibility that'll remain an R-rated film. Just makes sense to me that they would close out the trilogy the way it started, rather than introduce a third entry from a previously established film series into another established film series that it was not originally a part of.

That is, unless of course, Deadpool 3 turns out to actually be a reboot of sorts or somehow the result of crossing over through the multiverse that will be developed in the Doctor Strange 2 film.

I could be wrong, but "Marvel Studios" may not necessarily mean "MCU"

It's hard to say because Deadpool is now allowed to make direct references to the MCU, whether it's still set in the Fox-verse or not. So it can potentially be confusing. I'll say this, if they remove all of the mutant characters in this film because Marvel rather save them for the X-Men reboot, then might as well make Deadpool 3 part of the MCU.

But if they do put it in the MCU then that makes things a bit more confusing if it's an R-rated film.

I mean, from what I understand, unless it is produced by their newly acquired Fox, Disney don't wan't to produce anything R-rated that can't be put onto their family-friendly Disney+ streaming network and anything that was done by Fox will most likely end up on Hulu. So what happens with Deadpool 1, 2, and even 3, if it is R-rated? Are they going to divide their own Marvel Studios films between separate streaming networks they own?

F*** it.

Besides, Disney owns Hulu too.

After Joker just cracked $1bn, i don't think Disney is going to be afraid of making another R rated Deadpool before they decide to PG-13 him into the MCU. The first two have made more than enough to justify a 3rd R rated entry too.

The question isn't so much whether or not they'll make an R-rated film, but whether it will actually be an R-rated film in the MCU. If they'll do that, I'm curious if they'll do the same for Blade.

Well, it's tough to blame Mr. Lively. I mean, he IS the franchise.

And that article also said Miller won't work with James Cameron again, over the creative battle he had against him over Terminator Dark Fate. Miller really needs to either get out of the big budget movie making game or learn to compromise better. Especially since he only has 2 movies at this time. You build up enough good will first by compromising and stuff like that and then you can start getting complete creative control on projects.

In this case the actor deserves the control not the director. Reynolds’ view of Deadpool is what makes the character work, the films depend on his character first and all other choices second. Deadpool could be as stylistic and high-budget if it wanted to be, but Reynolds knows why audience like Deadpool and can deliver on that.

I mean, it was Ryan Reynolds who said no when Fox wanted PG-13 Deadpool and got us 2 very R-rated films that audiences ate up.

Like we needed more proof that the studio very often DOESN'T know best when it comes to this.
