Default Direct 3D HDMI from player to display?

I'm looking at getting an Onkyo HTIB, and this little number looks dirt cheap.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Onkyo-7-1-Ho...item3f381cc2eb

It's an older model, without 3D pass-through. This shouldn't be a problem if I run the player's HDMI direct to the TV for 3D pictures and another HDMI to the HTIB reciever for 7.1 sound right? Provided of course the player has at least two HDMI outs. Provided that it does, can players generally be configured to output their video & audio through both HDMI outs at once? That'd make sense since the player itself can only output one thing at a time anyway surely.

There's only a few bluray players that have dual hdmi outs.

That model only has one HDMI out, but you could use an optical cable for the audio.
