The filmmaker said they referenced every Halloween movie in this one. I didn't spot any reference of H5, though?!

If the reference to part 6 was the doctor twist then I wish they just went for the punching through the door and ripping the handle off moment. Which in turn was a reference to the original.

In a future sequel, after Michael is dead, we'll find out that a nurse who worked at the facility seduced him one night and had his 'love child' many years ago and we'll have MJ (Michael Jr), at about 20 years old, killing people. Plenty of more years to continue.

I think Brackett (who may still have connections with Haddonfield police) could persuade the authorities to tell Laurie The Shape's remains (ashes) were recovered and disposed off. Give Laurie confirmation and a sense of security he's dead and she has no reason to fear his return. All the while keeping a watchful eye on Laurie.

But this time have Karen be the paranoid Strode since she lost her husband and is on edge she could lose her mother and daughter if there's a possibility he's still alive. But all the while hide this inner fear from Laurie, as she helps her rebuild her life and return it to some sense of normalcy.

Karen was in denial about Michael the whole time in Halloween 2018, now flip her 180 having experienced his evil first hand.

The sheriff wearing the black stetson could have been a reference to The Man in Black first introduced in Halloween 5.

Jamie Lee Curtis says she will gladly do another Halloween sequel if David Gordon Green directs.

I would love a sequel. Hopefully they're listening to feedback and know what didn't work in the first film.

Get a different screenwriter who knows how to plot things out more intelligently. I also hope DGG can learn more about the horror aspect of filmmaking and how to properly create mood and atmosphere.

The graffiti in the toilet cubicle when the podcast lady was attacked by Michael. It was a drawing of toilet roll but if you have super vision you can make out The Mark Of Thorn at the base.

LOL. Surely somebody else has to recognize the irony of this, right?

Itís not worth tainting that just for the sake of more sequels.

It's inevitable. The sequels and reboots will keep on coming, probably long after we're all gone.

You know back when Andy Mattichack (?) Was first announced as Laurie's grand daughter, there were a lot of rumors about Allyson beeing the main character (not Laurie), so I envisioned more of a "Force Awakens" style reboot with her going through all the same events as Laurie did 40 years earlier and Laurie beeing our new "Loomis".
Much to my surprise the story was still all about Laurie.

I think killing Laurie off, off screen is stupid, possibly a worse idea than killing her off in the first 10 minutes of a sequel.

My solution? My original theory. Have the sequel centered around Allyson and a new group of friends somewhere outside of Haddonfield. She's off to college, and the Shape tries to hunt her down. You can even bring back Laurie for a small cameo, maybe even at the end to save the day (and possibly die).
