Default Any way to create a "child" account/sub account with a selection of owned titles?

Getting my son a tablet for Christmas that will predominately be used for watching videos. I would like to load some Movies Anywhere provider on there but a lot of content we own isn't appropriate. So is there any way to create an account which only has access to certain titles (picked by us, ideally, or at least by rating)? Thanks for any suggestions!

I'm not sure about strict parental controls but Vudu has an option to only list content of a certain rating and below. It defaults to that option and keeps it every time that device is open (device specific). So far this has worked with my 7 and 10 year old, but I'm sure if they wanted to they could circumvent this and the risk of that will be greater as they start to crave forbidden knowledge. I haven't see any obvious parental control locks.

As a parent myself I would suggest locking the device entirely so when the child wants to use it you have to unlock it and can ensure you're in the general area to scope out what they use it for.

My kids tend to use their tablets much more for gaming (currently Toca Boca stuff) than streaming, for what it's worth. To my disappointment stupid Youtube videos are king in their age groups so they watch far too much people buying dumb stuff off Amazon, crafting demos (which is very strange for kids), and stuff getting dropped/smashed.

Google Play lets you do movie-by-movie control of what's shared in a family sharing setup, so that's probably your best bet.

Movies Anywhere app and iTunes can do some of it but I think Google Play is your best bet.

Movies Anywhere app allows you to create sub-profiles, restrict them by rating and lock a mobile device to a specific profile.

Awesome, this is all so helpful.

I think I may start with the Movies Anywhere app restricted to G-rated movies. I would like the better control of Google Play but there's no Apple TV app. Does anyone know if a Google Play family sub account will sync those purchases to YouTube (which is on Apple TV)? And if it does sync can those shared purchases be accessed on YouTube Kids (since restricting the movies but then allowing full access to YouTube would kind of defeat the purpose)?

They sync to YouTube, but I don't see a way to get them in YouTube Kids.

The Google Play app does offer AirPlay, so it's possible to do Apple TV off the same library if that was the requirement. Movies Anywhere App will be simpler and not require maintenance, but I wish it had the individual movie level of control.

I found, for instance, that the Movies Anywhere app wouldn't let my sons watch the "Celebrating Mickey" compilation of shorts because it was unrated and I had their profiles restricted by rating (G and PG).
