Which titles are you guys getting with your credit? The only one that got me interested is Hollywoodland. Never seen it, but has a good cast.

Yeah, I made the mistake of purchasing on YouTube and the code didn't apply because my purchase wasn't $5.99 or less. But it will work on GooglePlay. How stupid! I had to chat with support to refund my purchase so I can re-purchase from GooglePlay.

I redeemed the code at YouTube as instructed. Then I went to buy a movie, Insomnia (2000) $4.99, on YouTube and it defaulted to my credit card as the payment, but in the dropdown was a choice to Use $5.99 Google Play credit. So I think it becomes a Play credit regardless. Which then got me wondering if I could use it for music or apps.

The Youtube TV app seems to be a better way to view movies than the regular Youtube app. I haven't found a way to sort your library in the Youtube app on my Roku and Android tv, but a few options to sort are in the Youtube TV app (A-Z, Z-A, Recently Purchased).

You don't need to be a YTV member. All you have to do is sign into your Google account in the YTV app and skip the trial. Forget the exact steps but choosing something other than Free Trial. The Videos on YTV will be locked, but if you go to Library and then purchases you can see your library and watch your videos without being a member.

Thanks, this seems like a good way to avoid having to change my YouTube account from a "brand account" to one with my personal e-mail as the primary.
Clearly by blocking "brand accounts" from being able to access content you have paid for they are steering you towards the account YT wants you to use.

Yeah, this change doesn't surprise me. I was not very pleased with the GooglePlay app on Roku. Some of the movies don't play in 5.1 for some reason, but then I play on YouTube app, and lo and behold, I get 5.1!

hooray, it worked for me, too! Thanks Frodo!

I may still "kill" the brand account anyway cos it's annoying as all get out.

So am I to assume that everyone in my family library will be able to access the movies in the family library through youtube? Cause right now they can't. Only on the Play movies & tv app. Also they better update the youtube app interface, cause right now it's dogshit for going through your movies/tv shows (not that GPM is that much better).

What happens when u visit https://music.youtube.com/library/uploaded_albums on ur acct? If u did the migration at https://music.youtube.com/transfer before the deadline, ur GP Music purchases should all appear in the Upload folder and r playable btw

Also, I wonder if you log out from your TV and log in with a new account, will you get the credit on the new account as well?
